​@@ImR3DACT3D Apparently from what I've seen, someone on Twitter decided to do the math, and figured out that it almost kills Chipp/Millia on raw super (with full health ofc, but we know that's killing them in a real match) And Asuka without mana is pretty much instantly dead (but then again, Asuka without his mana shield is already a dead man walking)

Mappa Hunch has 2 possible reasons why it's called that: Mappa/真っ裸 in Japanese means completely naked, which is why Slayer actually becomes naked now in Super Mappa Hunch, he punches so hard he goes naked. But you can also read the concept of the entire thing itself being an extremely fast punch by reading "Mach Punch" in a weird way; The Punch is so fast, it breaks the sound barrier and Mach Punch starts sounding like Mappa Hunch. It's a faster than sound punch that's so fast Slayer loses his clothes.

could it be that since mach is "mahha" in japanese, they just swapped the h and p around in the words turning mahha punch into mappa hunch

When Strive first came out I said this was literally Slayer’s game. Everything from the high damage, small stages, and volatile offense, they all play to Slayer’s innate strengths as a character. I’ll be shocked if he’s anything less than high tier, personally. They’d have to actively make him worse for that possibility.

After seeing the gamespot Slayer match footage, it's a wrap; this character is juiced for sure. New bite seems insane; comboable and it stays even after the attack is blocked while giving you the world's easiest hit confirm.

The only reason you can combo into it normally is that the 1st hit of f.S staggers the opponent meaning you can grab them

Mained Slayer since 2005, from GGXX#re all the way to GGXrd rev2. I was not expecting him to be THAT fun in Strive, but i guess Daisuke was in a generous mood. Holy smokes am i pumped for his release!

"strive kids don't know" is really funny to me considering his forward dandy step was removed for Xrd

As a Slayer main from xrd time, Strive Slayer looks very promising. He may have lost his old 6P and I'm still holding onto hope his bdc is still accessible, but he regained his +R dandy step forward that can side swap his opps. Plus, his mix-ups of It's Late and, with the new low move from dandy step, is a dream come true. In xrd, his It's Late was always a follow-up to Under Pressure, but now it's like +R again where he can do It's late immediately after dandy step. I'm also relieved he is not tied down to a blood meter like Nago. This is Slayer unhinged mode.

We've been teased with him since launch. I've been dying to play him.

I didn't play Xrd much, but Slayer was one of my mains in that game. This is exactly what I expected from Slayer in Strive, and I'm very excited to play him.

It's so cool that his 100 hit super smashes them through all the stages and brings them back to him. The universe thing is a cool idea, it almost makes me wish that more characters had a custom font stuff that did something special, missed opportunity maybe?

I played +R on rollback waiting for Strive. Slayer was my character and I was bummed he wasn’t in strive. WE ARE BACK!

The minigame of high-low-reset seems fun, as always. Specially with K Dandy. I'll probably wait for the 3v3 mode before I get back into Strive, so I hope it comes early S4 (hopefully with Venom, Dizzy or Raven so I can get at least one of my Xrd mains).

The funniest strive twitter clips are about to bless us.

I am so insanely happy right now, I cannot wait to play him. I think they did a good job of keeping him pretty close to what he was in Rev without gutting too much. There's some match footage and it's just ok, but they do show they completely re-did the game's most powerful 6p. The shoulder bash has turned into a funky looking elbow; It's the only thing I am not particularly enthused by. Strive players beware. The Slayer delegation is pleased. You only have a limited amount of fun left before we, like our Dandy vampire, drain you of your enjoyment.

Played Strive during season 1 on PS4 and quickly dropped it. Now I'm going to buy the game on PC, buy my all time favorite FG character Slayer (and no other dlcs lol) and go absolutely crazy.

As the dude main Chipp on every GG game this is gonna be fun challenge

I wish he came out 3 years ago I’d be playing strive, didn’t love the game direction but this was 100% the character I would main no matter what

Good fit

He seems genuinely scarier than any other version of him. Backdash cancel was the most annoying thing about him, he was genuinely miserable to fight but if you think about it that wasnt what made him actually win. He seems less annoying to fight and they improved his actual mixups and ch game with the comboable bite. Great redesign can't lie.

The returning combos for slayer have good improvements

How good Slayer is probably gonna depend on how Wild Assault interacts with his backdash and Dandy Step. RWA probably comes out fast enough to stuff anything other than empty DS, and WWA's invul might outlast Hand of Doom's invul. Another case of "Yeah their damage/mix is crazy once they get in, but good luck surviving roundstart WA."

Dude! Slayer's *Last Horizon* is basically a RAGING DEMON. Down to him dashing to his opponent before dealing massive damage taking away 2/3 of the opponent's life bar. Arc System Works better patch that out during Season 4. Also, Jam Kuradoberi for Season 4 DLC plz!

I'm a slayer main since reload. This looks at least as insane as reload and ahead of vanilla AC. 2d cancels into special. u can literally 2d into crossup dandy. Combine this with the fact that slayer is usually johnny health AND heals from bite. Instead of links it is all gatling so u can literally cancel everything into 2hs or 2d which special cancels. Depending on frames he might be candidate for top 1 best slayer ever since this is literally just ex slayer

With how strong straightforward, dumb and blunt offense is in Strive, Blocking is a goddamn nightmare, further exasperated by the characters that still get their win cons once they have their opposition guarding. At a glance, Slayer looks like more of this... I'd honestly rather eat 4 way DBFZ mixups or pineberry Oki. (Also Smh everyone forgetting the true MIA casualty of the Slayer moveset, 6P.)

So what I got from this is Slayer is the only character that feels like you're playing the OG BlazBlue and Guilty Gear games where you can combo into practically anything aka freeform. That is amazing, already best character in game just for that.
