That singer looks like the lynyrd skynyrd guitarist, a great voice btw and a great cover of a special song that's close to my heart for a few reasons

Slash should've stuck with Eric until he got back with Axl. It's 5 'O Clock Somewhere is Slash's best solo album. There's a few decent songs here and there with other singers and V.R was good most of the time and obviously there's nothing that can touch GN'R (pre '94) but Eric props to you my man, beautiful. X

There's a tramp sittin' on my doorstep Tryin' to waste his time With his methylated sandwich He's a walking clothesline And here comes the bishop's daughter On the other side She looks a trifle jealous She's been an outcast all her life Me, I'm waiting so patiently Lying on the floor I'm just trying to do my jig-saw puzzle Before it rains anymore Oh the gangster looks so fright'ning With his Luger in his hand When he gets home to his children He's a family man But when it comes to the nitty-gritty He can shove in his knife Yes he really looks quite religious He's been an outlaw all his life Me, I'm waiting so patiently Lying on the floor I'm just trying to do this jig-saw puzzle Before it rains anymore Me, I'm waiting so patiently Lying on the floor I'm just trying to do this jig-saw puzzle Before it rains anymore Oh the singer, he looks angry At being thrown to the lions And the bass player, he looks nervous About the girls outside And the drummer, he's so shattered Trying to keep on time And the guitar players look damaged They've been outcasts all their lives Me, I'm waiting so patiently Lying on the floor I'm just trying to do this jig-saw puzzle Before it rains anymore Oh, there's twenty-thousand grandmas Wave their hankies in the air All burning up their pensions And shouting, "It's not fair!" There's a regiment of soldiers Standing looking on And the queen is bravely shouting, "What the hell is going on?" With a blood-curdling "tally-ho" She charged into the ranks And blessed all those grandmas who With their dying breaths screamed, "Thanks!" Me, I'm just waiting so patiently With my woman on the floor We're just trying to do this jig-saw puzzle Before it rains anymore

Great job. Very nice vocal. But who is that guy? Who's Eric Dover?

Eric Dover was the guitar player for the pop band "Jellyfish", then became the singer in Slash's first incanation of 'Snakepit' which was formed around the tail end of 1993 after Guns N' Roses came off the road and went on hiatus. The original band was Slash, with his fellow Gunners Matt Sorum (drums) & Gilby Clarke (rhythm guitar), Eric Dover on vocals and Alice in Chains Bassist Mike Inez. Great band, great album ("It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" very bluesy, sleazy southern rock a good answer to grunge which was at it's height then). Unfortunatly after these acoustic gigs with just Eric & Slash, in the fall of 1995 the group disband mainly because of Axl summoning Slash to start making the next Guns record that never happened. Around 2000 Slash reformed "Snakepit' with a completely different lineup.

***** Thanks! Everything that I been checkin' out, including the stuff you mentioned that this guy was a part of is excellent. Great rock n roll. I've come to really like this Miles Kennedy fella, but I gotta say Eric Dover is much better. No offense meant.

rankoutsider None taken, though I do like Slash's solo work I am not a big fan of him and Myles. Though the conspirators is a good band. It's too blahhh... not enough dynamic, everyone including Myles seems to just follow Slash. Where as in Snakepit or VR and definatly Guns the other players had their own dynamics. I find that Slash works best when he's in a band and not just the showcase.

You definately nailed it. Well said. Blahh is the word. But the GnR and VR material sounds great. Didn't like Myles at all at first but he grew on me just for that stuff. He sing them songs well. Yes, Slash is very much made to be a member of a band. I think the 1st lineup of GnR is the greatest band ever assembled with regard to talent, creativity and above all, chemistry since the Mick Taylor era Stones.. What WOULD'N'T you pay to see them tour together again? Why can't that happen? They don't like money? And why the FUCK does Izzy refuse to tour while he continues to put out fucking great material? I don't get it.

rankoutsider I don't have anything against what Slash is doing now but in comparision to what he's done in the past, none of his new stuff really grabs my ears. However, to be fair I haven't really given "World on Fire" a good listen. I still think he can blast out great solos and riffs from what I have heard, but Myles nasily voice can be enough to make me want to change the station. From what I understand, the reason Izzy, Slash and Duff (opposed to Steven who wants a reunion and Axl who doesn't at all) don't make an effort is because they don't want to ruin the legacy they once had. They want to keep what they once had cool. Not sure what I mean? In a completely unrelated but similar context, look at what a lot of people think George Lucas did with Star Wars, In 1995 he was considered a God.. In 2005 he has been reduced to a joke. Yes I just compared Gn'R to Star Wars but they both have a legacy, and you can kill a legacy. The thought has been thrown out by both Slash and Duff that the idea of seeing the classic Gn'R in their early 50's reunite and trying to revisit 1987-1991 might seem a little contrived, thus being the point...Guns N' Roses were never about being contrived and safe. somethings once they die are best left alone. Because they are genuine, I can almost guarentee that Slash, Duff and definately Steven would fall of the wagon, Izzy would scram after the first couple of gigs, and Axl well he's Axl. Not sure how well that would hold up with todays young people, and even us seniors LOL
