Skoolie Solar Install | Bus Conversion

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This video will complete our solar electrical setup. We finally picked up the solar panels and installed them on the bus. Then we ran a full test of the electrical system to make sure everything was running and in working order.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy!

From you explanation it looks like the panels that are in series form an "L". Panels on the opposite side of the roof curvature will reduce the maximum power from that string. If you connect the panels in series that are on the same side of the roof you will get more power. Happy travels.

Good call out. I Didnt even think about that. It makes sense. I am updating the clips on there. When I do that, Ill connect the panels so that the panels in series are on the same side. Appreciate the help. 😎

Getting closer to the finish line, the bus looks great. Will the panels be able to power up your batteries when you are driving? Or is that going to be done by the aultinator?

Yeah they will be able to power the battery bank when driving. As long as the sun is up!!

Looks like you have a small shadow casted by those clips in the middle. My experience is, a shadow casted by a small wire on a 100w panel, reduced the output to about 5w on a sunny noon. Otherwise, it looks good, it's looking like a home now!

Hey! Thanks for the call out. I ordered some thicker metal for the rest of the clips. Ill make some new ones up that dont cover the panel. Appreciate it!!👍
