Skip strand round sinnet- ABoK 3025
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I show you a different way of creating a round sinnet. This way requires getting used to, but it is simple to remember. The result is an over two round sinnet much like the gaucho braid.
A link to the over one round sinnet which I recommend you tie first:
• Round sinnet- ABoK 302...
This technique is covered in The Ashley book of knots as number 3025. It can be done with even numbers of strands, 8, 12 and 16 being the most popular ones.

That's great...going to have to try this, beautiful as always, thanks Marko!!
Beautiful work as always!!
Nice, so it looks like two crown sinnets tied together. Nice work, super clear as always!

I do see the similarity, I thnk of it the same way. But it is not exactly crown knots. The sinnet is not solid, but more of a braided one.
Very awesome thick braid. Thanks for showing two different views, and a great explanation. I wish you had shown how to finish it off at the end though.

Hey! Thank you for your kind comment! The end and the start are usually dependent entirely on what you are doing. You are either transitioning from or into another braid or tying a decorative knot (the footrope knot is very common for finishing braids/sinnets). Mark
Also, is there a reason that you couldn't rotate the same direction every time, like you do with the ABoK #3021?
Would this be durable enough for a 3-4ft leash/lead?
How about a link to the other braid?
Could you provide a link to the over one sinnet? Never mind, I see that you are talking about tying a square knot sinnet.

@@Paracordguild No problem Mark, I really enjoy watching your videos. Takes me back to when I was in the Navy. I've always loved doing rope and small stuff work. I know it may be asking a lot but could you do a video on all of your tools, like your fids and such. I have watched your one about taking care of the perma-locks. Thanks.
