I purged for 15 weeks straight on tretinoin. It was horrible but I kept using it and then my skin got SOOO MUCH BETTER

@@totally_not2sday Sorry for the late reply. Initially yes I used it every night, now I get away with applying once every 2 nights and the results are still great. But if you’re just starting its recommend to space the applications over a few days rather than every day

I know how you feel. Me too. I never had any sort of acne or pimple . Not even teenage acne. It started after Covid, when I was 23, I thought it was the mask, but im 26 now and it's never gone. Guessing it's hormonal, I spent too much on the dermatologist and nothing seems to work anymore

I am purging from adapalene rn. I have heard that once you discontinue use all of your skin problems will return. That’s why I will be moving to tret after about a year of adapalene.

Dam big ups to the fact you had the will to keep using it for 3 months, i would’ve given up after 1st month thinking it wasn’t working

When I started using cerave’s SA renewing cleanser my skin went through purging and when it cleared up I knew that shit worked! Thank you for making this video, because at the time I went through this i didn’t know exactly what was happening & had to trust the process, tho I’m very grateful I did :)

to whoever is reading this. i started in ‘22 with cerave SA renewing cleanser for 8 months that year. purged TWICE within those months. the first month really hit me crazy and somehow few months later i started to purge again. my skin eventually cleared up and throughout those years till now i still get nowadays pimples (just whiteheads) mainly because of my monthly thing which cause hormones and yea the rest i don’t even need to say.. just wanna tell y’all be consistent and patient is the key i’m still using the same cleanser and it works perfectly fine. everyone skins is different so maybe some people don’t have a long process like me or some do. (also for reference i recommend you find a product that works the best for your skin to try it out)

Are you wearing sunscreen while using these products? Because they increase your sensitivity to the sun by a lot, so it might be a sun allergy mixed with purging.

Shouod one disocntinue using tret during tye purging period?

Can we use tretinoin cream 0.025% while we are taking tretinoin 20mg tablets every alternate day(prescribed by my dermatologist).

I started some new skin products, including retinol. I started before Christmas. It’s now February and my skin is purging. It's normal. When you are a beginner, you will experience this and a great sign that your retinol is working on your face.

If it’s itchy or stinging, then you can be having a reaction and should stop the serum. If they are pimples then you can use the serum until they go away. If it’s still a month and they’re still there you should see a derm

I've been using bpo5 cream for 2 weeks and it looks like it's getting worst n worst...

Purging only occurs with exfoliating ingredients Baby oil has no exfoliating ingredients which means your skin is reacting probably because the oil is not suitable for face and because it has fragrance which ruins the ph level

I have something like that just because on the new gentle clenser with good ph, i hate my skin

Start it from less percentage if its your first time

After applying Adapalene, my acne got worse however, after 3 week later I stop using it. But now some red marks on my skin, just want to know these marks are permanent or temporary. my acne stop now But I just scared about these marks My skin was much smoother earlier I think, I use cream in greater qaunty. I just want to know does my skin turn to normal overtime or not Please reply

@@rdjrolly1196 hi, the marks are still there but they are lighter then before. I hope in comming months it's will fade completely. But I still advice if you applying Adapalene first use little moisturizer on your skin then apply a little only , don't do same mistake that I had done

It can certainly help speed up the process. I don’t know if I would say it’s necessary but it’s one of the better topical options out there to help with acne scarring. I would say sunscreen is necessary, though

some cerave cleansers have BHAs/salicylic acid and niacinamide which are chemically exfoliating. they cleanse deep into the pores and draw out dirt and sebum/oils and that can cause purging !!

Can I use salicylic acid in AM and tretinoin in PM bcoz i have oily acne prone skin ad also sensitive skin just reply me ..

You can totally do that. If your skin gets irrated try to using the salicylic acid less or look into a vitamin c serum since its known to harmonize w tretonoin well. I recommend the one from naturium. :)

keep applying that, its temporary just put little amount and dont do it too regularly if its bothering you, treat the bumps like pimples dont touch them

i’m using a bha cleanser and it’s about week 2 and my skin has been purging with some pimples. Do i keep using the bha cleanser throught the purge?

I started using a skin routine today I am 18 I've used skincare before but for some readon i havent been using it for a very long time and i only used moisturizer Now ive started a new skincare Products 1 minimalist salicylic acid+LHA 0.2% cleanser 2 rice ceramide toner 3 2% kohic acid face serum (i have a lot of dark spots from acne ) 4 dot&key vitamin C+E moisturizer Started using above mentioned today but my skin feel tight now ! Don't use vitamin c and salycylic acid in the same routine ❌ Keep using your SA cleanser for 28 days Opt for a oil free moisturizer which contains hyaluronic acid and it should be non comodogenic And only apply your kojic acid serum only in your problem areas & leave the rest of your face & If you are going out in the sun then Sunscreen is most important Continue this routine for 28 days since you started If you don't see results after that I would recommend you consult a dermatologist They'll help fix your skin in the best way possible

What's the update...???

I used to have 8,5/10 skin, no texture, a few comedones around my nose and on my forehead. I have been using same retinol but 2% since early March and now my whole face is covered with comedones. I keep searching for videos that say it's OK, cause I used to have a PERFECT skin😢 compared to this... I use it every 4th day, 3rd is AHA/BHA and 2 rest days. I already know I should see a dermatologist. Any chance it's just a phase?🥹

Same. I just have Abit of pimple on my forehead. Once I started it got worse after 3 months. I thought it was "purging" but no I am just ruining my face. Now it's all over my face. My face has to compensate so much by producing so much oil. Now I only use it once a month.
