In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Dr. Gurjot Singh Marwah in conversation with Raj Shamani.
He is a certified dermatologist and hair transplant surgeon based in Mumbai. His knowledge of skin health, medicines, and different surgeries will give you clear answers to a lot of your doubts today.
In this episode, he shared the reality of medicines and creams that dermatologists sell under their name. He revealed the facts and side effects of chemicals like minoxidil, and isotretinoin, and shared if anti-dandruff shampoos and a healthy diet have any effect on dandruff. He shared some common beauty treatments in Bollywood and the difference between Botox and Fillers and other IV Therapies. He also shared his thoughts on the products that are just a ‘hype’ in the market. We also asked him about the effects of chemicals like Hyaluronic acid, Salicylic acid, Niacinamide, Kojic acid, and Retinol.
Towards the end, he exposed a 7-step skincare routine, hydra facials, cleanups, facials, facemasks, micro-needling, and more. We also asked him about popular myths like- does masturbation cause pimples? Are more SPF sunscreens better? Do anti-aging products make your wrinkles disappear? And many such myths. We ended with asking him the most googled questions and the answers will surprise you! Till the next episode subscribe to our channel and join us on this journey of Figuring Out.

I tried lots of different face washes, I at last found the one that works best: the Riceberryy Face Wash by littleextraa. I apply it in the morning to scrub my face and make my skin appear better. It contains both black rice and white mulberry, which works in improve my skin seem more clear and reduce dark spots and acne. It also makes my skin seem clean. When I use it, my face looks brighter in just a few minutes. Once a day I use rice berry face serum as well and i noticed when i use it it glows my face even further and keep it hydrated and fresh throughout the day.

Use good sunscreen and moisturiser it's the only need for skin but if you have other skin conditions as like acne melasma or other conditions you should use just one or two products also expensive products dont always mean good products there are good products evenly in the market which are relatively very cheap and affordable. I have also seen a few (rich)people who didn't need these products but because of the trend they start using unnecessary products which actually showed a reverse effect thats why trust what works for you not what they show

Precise and spot-on responses! This is something that more and more people ought to understand to stop wasting money on goods that companies sell by inciting fear. Actives really do work, and they really improve skin. However, glass skin and multiple-layer skincare are just marketing gimmicks. It's about time we understood this.

Thanks for a great video again. I would like to see more interviews touching on the mental health issues that surround our cultural conditioning and create complex PTSD in people that make us lead miserable life for generations. The concept of complex PTSD is very new and helps unravel a lot of mental health issues. It goes back to our upbringing, social values and conditioning to address the problem from its roots. Similar to how your medical experts talk about full scan of the environment we live in to have a good diagnosis, complex PTSD can provide us similar framework for our mental health issues.

The doctor laughed about face yoga n the massage but he'll never be able to know the science behind the face massage. As we all know massage improves circulation. Also during face yoga and massage we press some vital points on our face known as Marma Points that have great significance. So it's good that you know about your pathy, but things that outwit you, all you can do is laugh n make fun of it
