Agree 100% I play with a few friends since Warzone 1 lockdown days, we're all in our 50s now. Probably play once a week at the most and we're not great at the game. Eyesight and old man reactions! Plus we all play keyboard and mouse which doesnt help. The last few months we've all noticed we just dont win gunfights anymore. Everyone we come up against plays like they're cracked out of their minds on gfuel. Jumping and sliding around with flashing operator skins and they dont miss a single shot. We recently retreated into Plunder mode for a bit of respite but people play that mode like BR now. Squads holding hands with full meta weapons. I'm just not sure how much longer we'll play for, which is a shame.

I think that's a super common feeling. I think people underestimate how many people just want to have a laugh when they play Warzone. If they don't get wins and kills, they won't keep playing

I really enjoyed the early MW2 days. Never had as many wins. Not caring about loadouts was liberating. Always felt competitive. I feel the sweats and streamers ruined it for a casual audience.

Awesome video and I agree 100% , I've lost 90% of my squad because they jump on after work, load warzone up, after a couple of games of BR or resurgence they are done with the game because of the skill gap and we spend more time waiting for games to load up too. They change the meta's too much, you never know what to run next and if your a casual player and you can't rank every gun up its horrible you have no chance. Too many streamers getting 20/30/40 kills, it's a joke, cheating, movement mechanics, game modes are messed up!! PC should just play against PC and consoles just against consoles, we have people in our team on ps5/Xbox but have to turn cross play on. Anyway great video, keep up the great job and your honest views really are refreshing to hear.

thanks for making a go having a gaming channel based on sensible opinions. i always cringe when the streamers and content creators complain about skill based matchmaking because they don't want to have to try so hard. everyone always thinks so fondly of the games from 10+ years ago without realizing it's because they were designed to appeal to all gamers, not content creators and sweaty redditors.

I totally agree. In the BO2/Ghosts days I played professionally, made money on the game, but decided to explore other games, and went to university and quit for a couple years. Went back and im extremely lucky to have a 1.00 KD. It's insane, even pubs, where I used to go 30/0 regularly, is full of cracked players nowadays. I used to be albe to relax, do dumb things in the game and not worry. Nowadays I feel like im playing a tournament in pubs 24/7. COD just isn't fun anymore. Im really liking XDefiant now, its like old COD. Yes, there's cracked players, but at least you can have fun winning by playing objective, and games don't feel set from the beginning since theres no real kill streaks.

The game already had a solve for some of these issues right from day one of COD Warzone when it launched with only Battle Royale and Plunder. For those that love Battle Royale (which there are over 1,000 clones) this was a godsend however those who are not fans of this were able to enjoy Plunder. Whether it was only to level weapons and grind the Battle Pass and then move to the Battle Royale or stay on Plunder is irrelevant. It was possible to get to Max Rank 155 and complete the Battle Pass by the end of the first Weekend by only playing Plunder and everything was 2XP. Then the XP nerfs would get worse over time and it would take weeks to complete the same content. Its only in the last two seasons where multiple 2XP occurred on the first weekend of the game and even if you get the Black Cell Battle Pass it still takes a week to complete it and Rank up. ^ That's only due to Plunder and knowing how the game works, imagine being a new player, good luck. Year two of the game when Infinity Ward took over the game and Plunder would suddenly be missing from the game for literally years. We would often get lame Limited Time Modes like Clash which is the very antithesis of Plunder and Battle Royale. Sometimes Plunder might be in the game but would be the only game mode not to get 2XP, even the Vanguard Train LTM had 2XP? No longer do you get to play on the same big map, you are now forced to play on small snippets of that map (that are now unbalanced in terms of spawns, etc) with only a few players, Rebirth Crates that encouraged extreme camping and no AFK kick, along with hacker like perks in a game with no anti cheat making kill cams completely useless. This had the negative side effects of: - How can new players get good at Battle Royale, learn the map, level weapons, etc without playing on the same map Plunder, they can't. - How can you level weapons if getting to a loadout is almost impossible due to the sweats, you don't. - Remember the Vanguard Only version of Warzone (that also broke COD Modern Warfare 2019) that if you forgot or chose the wrong loadout you would get a basic bitch STG and lose. ^ No one EVER asked for a COD Black Ops Cold War exclusive COD Warzone modes, ever! Which in turn leads to pushing people to the store to buy bundles and Battle Pass Tier Skips in order to compete and complete content. Lets not forget the infamous Krampus patch that broke the game (also console performance had been slipping worse over time for years, which happens to be the biggest player base). kzread.info/dash/bejne/jI5r0cqtZreqacY.html ^ Also known as Vertical Integration, create problems that do not exist and monetise solutions. Remember those Pay To Win DMZ bundles, they were just the evolution of the same way to artificially choke progress and sell such short cuts to keep up with the ever growing skill gap. At the same time they pretend that SBMM is needed to protect the causals in the game with a game with no casual mode if Plunder is missing all the time, who is SBMM protecting? ^ You can pick ONE of these mutually exclusive options and run with it but not both. How many people can't play with friends as if they do they will be playing in the higher SBMM brackets and get wrecked over and over. As for loadouts in the original Warzone due to bundles and Overkill being a perk this would not do. Currently when you have people grinding for camos (PVP or Zombies) and this being one of the only or few games where custom loadouts (attachments and camos: earned / bought) is a big deal. Take them away and see what happens?, all hell would break loose. KNOW YOUR HISTORY: Even though Custom Reticules are no longer a thing, the new game menus are worse that the original ones and those found in almost every other game on the market, there was no anti cheat for almost two years, those that only played COD Warzone and bought any Battle Pass or bundles do not have a game to use that content on if they never bought the premium titles, there was no ranked mode to solve the sweat issue but Iron Trials was a thing?, COD Warzone is a gambling simulator, COD Mobile has free login rewards and free content to unlock, why are the COD games so huge (compare them to XDefiant, The Finals or almost any other game)?, etc.

Talkinf about sales numbers i feel a factor in poor sales for mw3 was the fact it was basically a dlc and not planned as a new game but they changed their mind last minute to charge AAA price for it and a lot of people disnt buy under protest for that. Activision are far too greedy and the model of using warzone to try and force people to buy the full game or be behind the meta ie FOMO is ridiculous. All of what u say is true though. Im the obly one of my friend group who still plays because im the only one who still has fun due to being above average ... just 1.3 or so while my mates are all under 1. These plus sbmm has seen the end of a lot of the more casual players.

I'd consider myself pretty good at the game, but as a pretty average kbm player, I lose to pretty shit or slightly average controller players due to aim assist. All I got is arm assist and no matter how hard I practice, if they strafe close quarters they just lock onto me.

I started in Call of Duty 4. Its not about a skill gap for me personally, its about how movement tech like "Sliding" and soon to be "Omnidirectional Movement" completely dominate the gameplay flow. Most people now in CoD completely spam the hell out of sliding and its not fun. I shouldn't be forced to slide when I got the target where I want them. Its completely changed the series and Infinity Ward tried to adjust it to fix the problem that was present in 2019. As you said, its a glitch. They removed Bunnyhopping which was also considered a glitch. It shouldn't have been in the games in the first place because its a thing that was included for EXO-SUITS. CoD when it is not a Exo-Suit game is not a movement shooter and it shouldn't be treated as such. I've used sliding plenty of times during these two games and all it does for me is throw me off when I could be using that time to be shooting my opponent, but what do you know they're spamming sliding and jumping around, dropshotting instead of using any form of cover, the right weapon, having the right positioning or anything. Positioning doesn't even exist as a concept to Call of Duty players now. They will claim you're a camper for holding an angle for a few seconds. It means if you took the time to be patient and not run in like a headless chicken on crack, you're treated as a "low" for being the decision-making player. I played throughout MWII and I had no issue with anything but the attachment problem and things slowing you down, the only thing that should've slowed you down was Heavy Snipers and LMGs like the Golden Age. The game shouldn't be making you faster with anything but a single perk like Lightweight. I personally played throughout DMZ and that REWARDED positioning and wise choices. It wasn't Warzone where you jump into every situation you can find and win because you out-slided, or out-stimmed the competition. It was a matter of using your resources, like any extraction shooter and having good positioning and good cover. Its not even camping either because you gotta move throughout that big map to do objectives. Camping has lost all its meaning because its supposed to represent somebody holding the same spot the entire match; If somebody is camping in DMZ and you can avoid it, you can absolutely avoid it. But because these players want to kill everyone they see instead of actually taking a moment to hold their ground against an oncoming storm, they will run at anything they can shoot at. Every Call of Duty needs to be unique in a sense. If anything each studio should be providing an experience that is different to the other studio. Treyarch can focus on the arcade style, Infinity Ward working on a mil-sim style and Sledgehammer can cater to movement and exo-suits. If they have that level of flow going; I am sure hardcore players will have a preferred developer but with these people demanding sliding every game there's no middle ground or relaxation in these games for everyone. I also pre-ordered MWII and MWIII, I stopped playing after Season One of MWIII because the gameplay is just so toxic and unfun. You're punished in far too many ways to boot. Also let's be real, I'd rather not play when there's hundreds of layers of matchmaking filters and the only mode that was keeping me happy was DMZ and that was removed. Not even improved. I am not playing Call of Duty nor do I intend to pre-order Black Ops 6 knowing the Multiplayer and Warzone is going to get far worse with over the top bullshit glitched movements and that awful gunsmith system still being present. To end this off, I am happier to fight a Veteran Dropshotter with years of experience, but not a new-form, ADHD-diagnosed, self-proclaimed "Slide-canceller" tryhard.

Hopefully all the highly skilled players who still complain about COD and SBMM (EOMM) will have left for XDefiant. XDefiant should have everything in it in terms of movement, skill gap, no SBMM that should keep them happy. COD can then close the skill gap once again and improve the experience for the vast majority of casual players who not only play the game but also buy the cosmetics.

This game have many issues. Removing headshot multiplier and having limbs damage being higher than head, neck and chest is lowering the skill gap. Player visibility is really bad. Other than that, I would love from them to add advanced movement like in AW, IW and BO3 and increasing health on ranked mode. Degrading players with what you mention like removing slide cancel, would slow things down and all we would see is people camping like crazy, sniper glint all over the place, claymores and proximity mines in buildings. In my opinion, bad players had their moment in MW2 and Warzone Al Mazrah and it proves that player base wasn’t appreciating it so the brought us back where we started. Movement isn’t slow like in MW2 but isn’t nearly as fast like in Verdansk. Other than that, this game offer so many OP weapons that you don’t require skill at all to down someone. Like Haymaker shotgun and 1 shoot snipers and C4 lethal. If I was a bot or casual who don’t spend to much time playing this, I would be so satisfied with how much equal chances I have against players that are completely on another level than me. So, to resume everything: 1. Remove SBMM/EOMM from Public lobbies and protect players that are new to a game by having them have their own playlist to practice against A.I. and other newbies. 2. Exo-Skeleton movement should be back and slide cancel removed but sliding should still be fast and make it longer, like in Apex. 3. Remove 1 shoot snipers or make sniper movement and running speed slow as hell. 4. Shotguns should be in any FPS games in my opinion but if you want to have them, remove ammo mods for them like “fire bullets” and make it be 3-4 shoot kill. 5. Riot shield, stuns, flash, claymore, proximity mines should be entirely removed from a game. 6. Gulag entries, flares (pizza box), should also not be in game as well and only by buying your team or finishing certain contracts you can bring them back as reward. 7. They should make operators being visible like having a overlay around their character models and health bar above head. 8. Removing perk packages and having them work like in Blackout. 9. Removing Claster mines, Explosive Drones and that flying Dart out of game. 10. Fixing a server and make it be above 18 tickrates. 11. Having awesome anti-cheat like Valorant that can detect DMA cheats as well. I believe that Urzikstan and Warzone overall has died because of having more cheaters than legit players.
