I agree, the animated camo is ridiculous. Be a lot nicer if it wasn’t so loud & if the animation was dialed back a bit. The fact squads have to fight over these portals though is silly. Like you can do all the leg work and have it snaked? If the obelisks are random, they should add Mystery Box lights to them like I saw some comments suggest in Dalek’s stream.

Thanks as always, I feel like these bad design ideas happen too often in COD, only one team being able to enter each rift is pretty wild and very badly thought out.

MWZ was dead to me by Xmas 2023, what a waste.

The new unstable rift seems like it was put together after the devs lunch break. I'll do an obelisk to get the rewards as though I were doing a contract and just let the lobby know that one obelisk has been completed. There were two obelisk in tier 1 nearly right next to each other in one of my rounds last night. One was at the entrance to the military base, next to the exfil and the other was around the corner at the pharmacy where the Escort contract spawns and down from the gas station where we do the cargo mission. I've not seen them that close together before, but anyhoo, I let the lobby know where they were and I helped someone complete two of them.

Yeah I did it about an hour ago with a random 4 man team using the RGL slugs and deadwire detonators. Bought 7 self revives with me and 3 sentry guns. Found it fairly easy, turned off automatic sprint and just walked around spamming the RGL. Saved the sentrys for the very end which helped a ton. And Tesla storm field upgrade worked well, although most had healing aura. Would recommend taking advantage of Tombstone to carry money between games so you can just focus on finding the seals when you spawn in. If you do 2 and find the 3rd, just hit the buy station and fill up with everything you need first so that you don't have to make a stop when the rift opens

15:00 as someone who has visual issues this camo is genuinly close to giving me an actual seizure just looking at it.

The DNA strand drops are pretty bright and distracting as well.

Brother what lmfao this is EASILY the best camo in the game, plus its not that hard to get into, we ran this over 9 games yesterday back to back and never had anyone steal the rift

Bro keep trying. I was worried about it taking along time. But if u have a scorcher your golden. Even If u don't make it to one of the rifts. Just wait for cool down and redo 3 pillars. They spawn at different times so u just have to fly around till u find 3. Do 2 but b4 the 3rd... Make sure your geared up with at least 4 revives and 6 bombs. If u and at least 1 other person has rgl with deadwire. You'll finish. 1st try we died cuz we rushed into the rift b4 gearing up. 2nd attempt with randoms. I found the last pillar right at end. And We all had correct gear. Completed it no problem. Still had revives left in bag at end.

@@Zaedin710 definitely not as hard as people are claiming. The scorcher strat allow you to avoid the zombies until the wave boss shows up. This strat allows you to save your resources until the bosses.

It was fun doing it. But once completed there isn't much reason to go thru it all again. Just for cool downs. I think they should made it grant a guaranteed scorcher case. Or at the very least a leg tool & crys. The camo is sick tho. But ya no reason to possibly loose all your gear and level for trying again. Og rift is still the place to be lol.

We did the ritual last night and the rift spawned in on the south east of the map on the tier 2 area.

thanks for the report, I agree with you. I dont even want to do this, that's the opposite of what I like. Grabbing the last high level cool downs were actually a lot more fun. I find it funny that...this is the famous old round based maps that some ppl are claiming it's the only way to play zombies.... i strongly disagree with that, even if, let's face it, they added the worst kind of round based map possible, ir's so bad, that some ppl will probably say they did it on purpose, lol. Anyway what a strange idea....

Failed 1st attempt on the final round … completed 2nd try… also it is worth it because my first game using it randoms we’re picking up my guns and messaging me how I got it … never been so flattered 🤭🤣

FINALLY, Some one says what I've been thinking, this is the most half bake, pointless lack of effort dog poo so far. Obelisk are from season 2, location is from season 1, camo is animated but ugly, reset schematics that you use to do this is ridiculously redundant.

At least you get a lot of lvl progression done. High rounds did also not reward you besides lvl/prestige or something 😂

GP, that's an interesting take. I do think this experience (which I plan to do once on principle) will hopefully remind people how boring round based zombies can be. From Outbreak in CW to DMZ to MWZ, I feel the experience has continued to grow and improve, but the Nostalgia Effect always has people clamoring for things like old maps or game modes that they enjoyed. No manner of "run over and flip this switch, *kill a round of zombies*, now run over and push this button, *kill a round of zombies*, etc" will make round based as fun as the objective based stash creation that we have had this last year.

Nah, it just shines a light on how rushed MWZ is. Quality RB maps avoid the issue because each map was diverse, in the aesthetic & steps. Especially down to having set ups & side Easter eggs to do. I’d honestly take the most blandest Round Based map over this. That said, I’m hopeful they cooked this year for Zombies. Two on disc maps is promising.
