I've never done one of these kinds of videos (well I've recorded myself a couple times, but never posted any of them because I didn't like them), but here I am actually drawing in front of a camera. And I came up with a new challenge for me (and anyone else who may be a fan of ‪@drawingwiffwaffles‬ and want to do it as well). It's not really for Waffles to do (although she can, but the challenge would end once she posted a drawing, haha), but I just wanted to do something to show how appreciated and missed Rin is. I don't want to pressure her into coming back or anything, I just thought it might be encouraging for her to see mermaid drawings. Where she usually tries to #sketch a mermaid every day in the month of May (for #MerMay), I'm going to try to sketch a mermaid every single day until Waffles makes a return online. I'm glad she's taking a break to focus on her health, but at the same time with the long silence, I worry just a little bit and really hope things are going okay for her. I'm praying and hoping the best for her. But this challenge will also keep my sketching/drawing skills up to par (as MerMay always tends to do). I love Rin's videos and miss seeing anything new on her channel (though I rewatch her old ones sometimes). She's my favorite KZread artist.
Something you'll have to excuse in this video is the background noise, I recorded this in my basement and there's an AC/heating unit that makes a loud noise when it comes on (one of the reasons it's a little hard to record vocals and instruments for my music in the basement sometimes).
