The editing and cinematography are absolutely off the charts. Better yet, I absolutely appreciate the historical deep dives into Japanese culture, folklore, and history. The quality present is absolutely top tier. I would expect this on major broadcasting channels. Is there a works cited page that lists the resources for yokai, history, Miyazaki quotes, etc? Happily subbed and excited to see more!

In all seriousness and at least half in jest, I love this. I unironically love this. It brings me to tears about how deep you dive. I love this takeaway from the movie, and I hope Miyazaki has a chance to see this documentary. It's so good.

I recall he regretted as a child that his family did not help a mom and daughter they came across on the road. his stories are always full of lightness wonder and joy of discovery made with love for the children of japan. 🌸💚🌸💚🌸
