I mean my current set up is pretty close. 8.5 Baker OG shape with venture lows. Wheel bites like crazy for anything above 52mm wheels if you don't land clean though

@@thesharinganknight9859 You get _Italics text_ with an underscore before and right after the text you want Italics. You can also use an asterisk before and after to make the *text bold* . And last but not least, you can use the minus sign before and after words to make them -crossed- .

The best promotion I've ever seen. Just two things: - The pink suits you. - You are single-handedly bringing back "the 90's" I'm colourblind(no green for me), dress only in black and my actual setup is 8.6 with indys 151. You are able to make me appreciate pink hoodies and 7.75 trucks... no words.

I skated 8.38" for a while and thought they didn't flip with aces 159's, might just be a weird combo

Another quality review Ben! A venture low truck user here and I'm loving it. There definitely are cons to using a low truck but can't beat the feeling of having a quick pop plus stability, paired with 97A deluxe bushings (purple ones). Keep these reviews coming. 🍻

Hey Ben, you should do a review on a Unity, There, or Glue deck! It'd be great to shine some light towards a positive change in skating and also see if the decks are good! I know it's a bit far from what you normally show off on your channel but I think we can both agree that it's important to show future and even present generations of skaters that skateboarding is inclusive to anyone and everyone! Love the videos as always, graphics on your decks when!?!

I can't imagine skating such a small board with small trucks. I am learning that I am a hefty board guy. The bigger setups make up lack of board control and keeps the board under me. Pink works Sir.

Haha dude we have got so much snow here in the last couple weeks there won’t be a dry spot to skate until April. That yellow has the classic bright abrasive look you should keep that. Personally I’d do boring old white or black. It’s really hard to find a long hoody for a tall guy like me, I always complain about them being too short in the waist 😂. Wife just doesn’t understand. Baggy is not a statement for me it is a genuine need! Everything nowadays fits so tight and it’s so damn uncomfortable. Iunno how these skinny jeans kids do it

I got the Venture lows 5,25 recently on an 8' deck. Could it be that these trucks are less ideal for a beginner because they make the nose/board heavier? Though my Ollie technique is progressing, I am somewhat stuck on how high I can get. Greetings from forever rainy cold Germany...

While the pink hoodie is definitely fire, the yellow is more your steez, Ben.

I've heard that pairing a wide deck with skinny trucks gives you more leverage for faster flips since the weight of the board is more concentrated towards the center. (Like tucking your legs in while doing in an office chair.) It might make for a good setup for double flips.

Love to see a video with you riding losse trucks. 78 duro indy bushings, no top washer, truck nut flush with top of kingpin loose...

@@bendegros If you read this, maybe I can convince you to nudge the chance above zero. I've watched many of your videos and you adjust successfully to a wide range of setups. You are a very skilled skateboarder and being able to make those adjustments is one of the blessings. All the evidence points to your being able to make it work! With one exception, your saying you would hate it! I for one would be stoked to see you surprise yourself, as you switch three on mashed potatoes...

I have to say these are your best looking tricks on this 90's setup. Imho.

When you talked about the tricks down things, it's really impressive how Dave Bachinsky did a kickflip down el toro with a 7.75

After a long hiatus on skateboarding, I recently got back to it only to discover that the 7,6 I used to ride aren't a thing anymore so I got an 8 and a pair of 5.2 Venture lows to fit the width. Not sure if I like it of if I'm even legit to have preferences on what I like to ride yet since I can barely rocket ollie these days. What would have been the consequences of using the 5.0 on an 8' ?

I’m 6’2 240lb and ride a 9” with 169’s and love it the lowest I’ll go now a days is 8.75

in your country it rains all the time, in mine it rains too and cops checks you're under 1km and 1 hour limit. you can always find worst :) keep the pink it's the best looking one

try some football shaped board if you want tiny trucks on a big board. they also call it egg shaped they go up to 9 in the middle and 8.25 on the trucks. they are real fun

i quickly met tommy sandoval on a krux trip through spain around 2008-ish and remeber tripping on his "rail" set up. Dude was riding 8.5 decks with 8" trucks and when i asked him he revealed it was his "secret" for locking in. to each his own i guess

couldnt you lock into grinds much better with some conicals, those classics are super round edge

I've been skating 8.25s with venture hollow 5.6 and I love that set up but im struggling with flip tricks, I think im gunna bump my deck down I got a 8.125 primitive deck ready to roll when my real needs replacing but I kinda want to go down to an 8 and im debating taking either the primitive goku deck or the dgk off my wall but I bought those specifically for my wall so idk if I will, but im gunna keep using my 5.6 hollows, I got another set of 5.6 standards on my youngest sons board but he's 3 (4 on Christmas) he can't even really ride it he likes to lay on his belly and scoot around, I got my older son riding some indy team hollows I bought when I first got back on a board after a decade of not skating and getting sober but im alot heavier then I use to be and indys aren't cutting it for me but I have another set of Reynolds 139 hollows I might try with some harder buschings

how are they compare to indy 129 or 139 lows?

Pink is a great colour. It fits with a lot of other colours. However, I don't think it fits well with the yellow of the logo. The black hoodie fits the logo better if you ask me.
