Way too few views, way too few comments for this glorious celebration of a landmark event in American theater. C'mon, people! Stop watching Fail videos. This is where it is. Everyone's so up, so full of wit and love for each other and the show. And Seth's a perfect cut-up! Thanks and more thanks to all involved.

Gosh I love these people. I've flown to NYC from Oregon to see this production three times (once at NYTW and twice at the Hudson). It is Broadway at its finest in every aspect. I really hope they film a pro-shot before it goes away forever. Also love, love, love, Seth as moderator here - his encyclopedic knowledge of musical theatre references kills me.

So envious. I live 30 minutes from manhattan and was only able to see it because I won an obstructed view lottery seat

Thank you for sharing this wonderful panel. I saw Merrily for the third time on Easter Sunday. This time was with a friend visiting from the UK. Seeing the show through his eyes was precious. The whole cast is Top Notch! Each time that I’ve been there I love how enthusiastic the audience has been. Seeing everyone leaving the theater with a smile is a gift. Thank You!

Thank you so much for posting this video! I sub'd to Sirius, but listening to only a portion -- (despite the cast being great and Seth being an amahzing moderator!) I realized audio-only was hard to visualize. And the mess-up song show I WAS THERE!!! It was so hilarious, and great to hear what they were going through. Love this cast, the production, the music. PLEASE FILM IT FOR STREAMING!!! HBO Max (like Spring Awakening's reunion) or Apple TV+ (Come From Away). It deserves to be captured for history as one of the greatest shows ever on Broadway!

Original production did contain Producer asking Mary (and Charlie) "Is Frank the only person in the world that doesn't know you're in love with him?" And "Is there anybody who doesn't know about those two (referring to Frank and Gussie}?" And Charlie answered "There must be one or two others who don't. know." And Now You Know really showed Mary's love for Frank. Finally, Mary's singing in the wedding duet Not A Day Goes By clearly showed that Mary was in love with Frank (When Steve was on the phone with Furth, I was there, and Steve said to him "I'm not so sure Mary should have such a large part in that song, I'm not sure we care so much at that point about Mary." I yelled: "You HAVE to have that--it's the whole point of that character's relationship!" And Steve told George "My friend here says it has to be there." I was clearly right!

I’m convinced the secret rooftop Charley backstory is that he’s a little bit LGBT and had a crush on Frank before meeting Evelyn lol. Anyone else?

i like listening to seth on sirius (except for when he fawns over andrea mcardle. she had one iconic role years ago!), but i do wonder what all the people he interacts with think of him. i mean, he gets big names to do his cruises and is constantly doing concerts with the top names, so maybe he is more chill behind the scenes??

I don't think they were annoyed. I think they just couldn't match / keep up with Seth's energy, so they just sat back and rode along his frenziness.

The moderator really made this a frustrating listen. He tries a little too hard to be the center of attention and some of his attempts to be sassy just kill the vibe man

That's Seth Rudetsky. He's been a fixture on Broadway for decades (pianist/accompanist, host of Seth's Chatterbox and various Broadway talk shows and talk radio shows over the years, etc). Basically a working industry guy who became recognizable and well-known in his own right, largely because of his genuine love and flamboyant enthusiasm for all things Broadway. You either love that about him or you don't.

They’ve all known each other for years… Seth used to play piano for Broadway shows like Phantom of the Opera, among others… host broadway podcasts, musical song analysis and during the pandemic, held cast reunions for the Actors funds… he’s a treasure… sure he’s a lot but this is straight conversation between friends and Broadway nerds.
