Saw Merrily a few weeks ago, got spit on by Jonathan and love him to death. Can't wait to catch Take out Bags in the far future!
Jon Groff is adorably chaotic and the chemistry between the 3 of them is crazy!
34:30 The Alan Rickman clip is so sweet! Dan looked genuinely moved. Never knew Alan went to see all of Dan's stage shows and supported his acting training so much. RIP to a true great.
Daniel Radcliffe's evolution as an actor has been so fascinating to watch! Would love to be able to see him on stage. Hope he does theatre in London again someday! With choreography!
Lin Manuel said the same thing about Jonathan rolling in last minute and how it stressed him out initially, but he never missed an entrance
Wow. I had the great privilege of seeing this in February, and I felt exactly what Jonathan was sharing when he said that he tries to communicate with the audience this need to protect this innocence inside of us..this optimism for sweet friendship and camaraderie throughout life. Steven Sater recently articulated that, in this show, you see Jonathan turn back into 21-year old Jonathan as Melchior singing "You Watch Me" in Spring Awakening, and that was the show I first saw Jonathan act in..and it just all brought it home for me. This trio is a dream. This show was so moving
34:30 you can see the emotion is still raw for Dan even after all these years. Alan Rickman was a uniquely special man & actor - the world’s a darker place without him in it 🙏🏻❤️
holy crap they are so fantastic together
You just have to love Jonathan ❤

Who doesn’t?
Uncle Jonathan, are we gonna dance? And he smiles super excited doing a little dance with his feet.....come on,he's adorable ❤ David Fincher (not exactly a crazy fan girl) described him as 'the sweetest man who ever lived '!
Dan is so energetic ❤ thanks for this great segment!
Had the privilege of seeing Merrily twice (and will be seeing it a third time in June.) Was such an amazing experience and I am so eternally grateful I had the opportunity to see it multiple times!
Each of these three human beings is a gift to the world and to acting! Josh, thank you for making a place for us to get to know them!
Dan's so funny and I love him sm!!
regarding Groff's spitting onstage. Me and a friend were "recipients" of said sit at the Atlantic Theater when we saw Spring Awakening there. We were in the second row. It's real!! lol

I heard the cast saying in various interviews that people at the stage door, when they were a hit on Broadway, would ask him to spit in their programs...😂 Aside from that you were so lucky to experience that great musical in its infancy stage
Yes omg!!! They’re awesome !!! Go to see Merrily We Roll Along ✨💜
That was an amazing plus funny interview and I love there friendship
Loved this. Saw the show and hoping to go again! The friendship between these three is palpable in the show and really seems above and beyond the usual bonding. Love listening to all the interviews they have been doing. Thanks for a wonderful interview. ❤️
These three are such a joy to watch do promo together!
I cannot thank you enough for this.
Yayy I’ve been so excited for this!!
37:07 Aww, Jonathan Groff is too empathetic for a situation like this!
like jonathan, i also have 7 or 8 take out bags in my apartment😂
25:47 Actually, Daniel also gets carried at least once in Harry Potter (Hagrid in Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes to mind). Has he always... been carried in every role?
It’s such a beautiful show
‘Take out bags…’ 🎶
Dan is one of those actors I almost enjoy listening to outside of character then in character
Loved this, amazing questions as always Josh! Only thing that I noticed were a lot of fast cuts whenever someone new is talking/reacting. I feel like in a group this big it would be nicer for watching with less switching around becaus this way sometimes it felt like we were missing the reactions to what someone else has said.
PLEASE ye theatre gods PLEASE can there be a filmed version of this show before it disappears!
Kills me that I won't get to see this show. So glad so many will, though. A dream cast working together like clockwork on a show I loved from the moment the original cast recording came out. I mean the first one. Dates me, doesn't it.
Another good one, thx
saw the show recently, they were fantastic!
Jonathan looks like a child of Harvey Spectre and Dennis from Sunny.
I love them. They make me smile :)
37:03 idk i never seen daniel like that, he seems emotional

He lost a friend and a mentor. I wouldn't be cheerful either...
Who doesn’t love some Groff Sauce?
I wanted more of this episode I laughed so much if only it was longer I would’ve enjoyed it a bit more, but it was a fun episode
MORE DANIEL
I need Daniel working with Greta now
What chemistry!!! They have a way of making you feel like you are a part of their friendship. It’s truly beautiful. I hope they get to do more together in the future! I’d love to see a film adaptation!!

That's happening already but not with these guys. Richard Linklater is directing & I think Paul Mescal & Beanie Feldstein are in it & they're making over a 20 year period.

side note but - no, we haven't found a cure for covid. people still die and get long covid/M.E. on average people get covid at least once a year.
