Excellent and quick recipe! Just made and enjoyed it! Beats all store bought desserts! I consider this halwa a healthy option! Also used rose water instead of Kewra and 1 cup of organic brown cane sugar! Thank you for the recipe❤

Yes true zyada meetha hgaya.. hamare ghr me itna zyada meetha nhi khaate.. is baar 1.5 cup sugar add Kiya tha next time I'll add only one cup... Meetha hgaya tha other wise acha bana hai

This looks so delicious. I have made it a few times, comes out good, but I like how you put the saffron in there for color and make the sugar, jeers and water syrup separately. I don’t speak Urdu/Punjabi so didn’t get all of it especially at the end, but love the demonstration especially getting the right golden color for the sooji on the pan. And there is no comparison IMO to the flavor that ghee/clarified butter adds to it. If someone wants to substitute I wouldn’t recommend doing a full substitute to get some of that flavor.

in the end she is saying, semolina will puff up as it cooks. She added extra ghee in the end and its optional. She mentions that do not over cook the halwa, when it begins to gather in center, cook just a minute and switch off. Extra ghee brings more taste to the halwa.
