The V7 sounds best for me, at least in this video.

To my ears the V5 with its passive electronics sounded best... reading the comments I see that many felt the same way

I like the V10 the most and then the V5

Great video! V5 sounds best to me and the B-string test revealed its got a bit more mids, especially compared to the V7! and I own a V7 and have a V5 on its way. V10 sounds second best but will probably be overall best for tonal options with the heritage 3 pre. Now I’m gassing that V10 as well!

For me, it’s V10, V5 and v7. The v10 its a beast and the quality of construction it’s top , the it’s more chunky but its “assimetric “ , I love ❤️ thanks 🙏🏼 💪🏼

V7 and V10 sounds very similar and both are fantastic.But V5...man, this bass got his own level. I bought one an hour ago🤣 i am the happiest man on the planet🤪greetings from Poland!!!

the v5 in the video is not mine, it's borrowed from a friend, I already had two v5 and although they sounded great, they weren't well built, had neck dive and were heavy 😭 but in future I find a v5 balanced 💪🏻

@@vitobass23 I got old Marcus Miller M2 already. It's good enough for the slap or the other funk things. But I'm playing in a rock band and often by a pick, so V5 will be the best.

V7 is the man

V5 sounds the best, much better than the other two imho. 👍🏾

Thanks for this comparison! I loved the V5! In your opinion, would you do some upgrades on the V5? (bridge, electronics, pickups, tuning machines, etc...) or would you leave it stock?

I think that is perfect if you want a passive bass.maybe a new bridge only for me 💪🏻 if you want active , put a sad or John east preamp , and it’s a killer bass 😂

They all sound great! I really like the V5 sound and look the most. Do you think it could be retro-fitted with a preamp?

The V5 with preamp for me, it’s like a beast 😂😍 I love the 3basses but for me the feel of neck of v7, the sound passive of the V5 and the taste, look and a roasted maple neck of V10 😂 and became a new bass Sire V1075 😂😂😂

Sorry to keep revising - The V5 is a V7 Vintage with a roasted neck and minus the preamp.

I just tried a V5 5 strings it feels and sounds great, the neck is very thin if I compare it with massive V10 5 string neck, which one feels more comfortable for you? Thanks for your videos.

The V5 it’s more thin, the V10 its more chunky, but the V10 have Asymmetrical C-shape, and I like vey much.

Con un buen preamplificador suena por que así por línea no mucho
