In this short excerpt from an interview, Sir Christopher Lee sits down with Austrian Journalist Matthias Greuling to talk about films, his favorite Music (Beethoven), viennese dialect and working at the movies aged 91. Christopher Lee was awarded the Excellence Award Moet & Chandon at the 66th Locarno Film Festival on Aug 7th, 2013. The interview took place on the same day around noon at the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona.

So, not only is the man over 90 years old and a theatrical knight, he also speaks 6 languages, he's an operatically trained bass and his favourite composer is Beethoven. As if I needed anymore reasons to love this man....

Rest in peace you blessed man. Though you fought the Germans once, you held no ill will for your former enemy and respected him and his culture. That makes you truly a greater man than most. God bless you and RIP

I like listening to Christopher Lee talk about his passion for music.
I just love the breadth of this man's cultural involvement. From classical to heavy metal.
Christopher is great actor.I love his long fingers and the heredy ring,
Spokesperson from Heaven confirmed that this was God and they needed him back.
"Charlemagne: The Omens of Death" is on iTunes. If you like his voice and heavy metal, you should check it out. That dude is AWESOME! There will never be another Christopher Lee.

It is a pity Christopher didn't do a biopic film about himself also Peter Cushing should of done one as well.

Where can we see the full interview? Also, Sir Christopher Lee is amazing. I don't think there's a single language, accent or dialect that he cannot speak. (I have to agree on the part of German grammar being difficult, I feel the same way - and I AM German!)

@@EdellaFinSonaan95 I am German myself, and have my dear troubles understanding people from Vienna when they pull out their accent - but it sounds like: In mein Zimmer hin dort drüben, dass ich die Antwort dann diktier. (Which seems to be part of the Opera "Der Rosenkavalier").
Yeah, and I hate to say it, but Eli is in better shape than Christopher. In recent years Christopher has become much more frail. But its amazing to see Eli Wallach, he is completely on the ball and walking around without a cane. Both are amazing of course.
Eli Wallach is over 97 years old.

Gunnery Sgt Hartman several times. You show your ignorance.. Sir Christopher lee is the SECOND English actor to play Dracula.. After Bela Lugosi. Sir Christopher lee is a GIANT of Cinema!

He was basically a British spy in world war 2 so that could be partly why, and then furthered by his affection for the arts and admiration of the language.

Yeah. Watch his recent BAFTA appearance (I think last year). Very frail, can hardly walk. Kirk Douglas is in better shape nowdays.

Il est mort, il s'en fou. Il est crédité dans 300 films, parle plus de 5 langues. Il en a littéralement rien à faire de tout avis. Surtout maintenant qu'il est mort :)
