Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing ...they portrayed some of the most fearsome, frightening, terrible characters in cinematic history, but the men themselves were two of the warmest, most gracious gentlemen ever, a breed that is lost to us and can never be duplicated. They will always be two of my most beloved and favorite actors ever. RIP Peter and Sir Christopher.

@@yankeeforcestudios5431 So much wasted potential in the Dooku character. His story seemed to actually have more of a tragic hero arc than Anakin's. He was a high ranking Jedi who grew disillusioned with the order and fell to the Dark Jedi after being tempted by Palpatine... I wonder if Lucas realises how much Dooku's story would have fitted Anakin.

I have a belief (bolstered by experience and observation): the people most capable of portraying villains tend to be empathetic, decent, genuine sweethearts. I believe the reason for this is that they are capable of empathizing with every type of personality. These actors feel deeply and truly for the characters they portray, but are amazing humans outside the production. Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing are no exceptions. Gentle, sweet men. God give them bliss and euphoria.

Governor Tarkin, the stone cold chief administrator of the Death Star, and Count Dooku, the classy Ex-Jedi now Sith Lord, are two of the most evil and cunning villains in Star Wars. But I personally love that the actor's behind the characters themselves are the most warm hearted and kind people you could possibly meet. Knowing that Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were friends and spoke to one another is super sweet. By Lee's description of how Peter wrote to him and what he said is amazingly wholesome. And the way Peter addressed everyone as dear this or dear that is wonderful. Both the characters and actors who betray them remain some of my favorite to this day. It's a shame we've lost them, though. While they might be gone, they definitely will not be forgotten

Quite interesting, Christopher Lee's interviews are always so captivating; he's very calm, stoic and, of course, very experienced, not only as an actor, but with regards to life in general.

Two of England's greatest actors. Funny how Christopher Lee remembers the little details about Peter Cushing's character form 30 years ago. We all do it for our friends, remember the little things. If we all could be so lucky to have a relationship with someone like the one these two giants had with each other.

Sir Christopher (and in my world) SIR Peter Cushing were almost the last of Englands GREAT legendary actors. None will EVER equal them nor better them - I hope now in paradise together they share an afternoon tea and cucumber sandwiches on some VAST lawn all dressed in white with blue skies and angels. Thank you dearly to them both for their contribution to my life and everyone elses!

George is a great lover of the Hammer Horror Series, just as I have been. At one point, he wanted Christopher in a lead villain part in A New Hope along with Peter Cushing, but couldn’t get Lee. Years later, to complete his dream, Lucas managed to get his first choice for Count Dooku which was Christopher Lee. The circle was complete, at that point.
