When she "apologized" she only said that her delivery way harsh which one can agree with. Gwan hee is the biggest red flag. He dangles the carrot in front of multiple women and literally tests them to see who scores more points with him as if he's some epic prize. It may not come across to the girls but as an outside observer, he shows so many signs of a manipulator

He isn't even hot. He is a pro athlete which in itself makes him very desirable because it shows his discipline and ability to excel at something as physically demanding as sports. Pro athletes are an elite class because they got 99 problems, _____ ain't one. He's also the class joker types and women love men with a good sense of humour. Still, all these qualities will get old really fast when dealing with someone pathologically non committal like him. He also resorts heavily to negging which negate all his positive characteristics.

@@flaxoff8893 I think another huge thing is that toxic behaviour like assertiveness and control etc can be misidentified as having confidence and dominance. That's why the old stereotype of douchebags getting the girl while the polite and respectful "nice guy finishes last" exists, because at least the douchebag offers what is perceived as 'confidence', however misleading it may be. People expect the nice guy to be polite and respectful. But going out of that and offering something 'different' to the table can spark others curiosity I guess.

But there are people who are considered “attractive” but still are genuinely sweet and considerate people like on the previous seasons. (Yaewon,nadine,soe-eun,hyun seung)

I live for the moments where Jin seok immitates Ha Jeong 😆 He’s funny, loyal, charming, chill, and probably the only green flag of the whole bunch FR.

[UPDATED after ep 8 and 9 ] Here's my thoughts on this season (for now ahah): 1. The contestants seems meh... 2. I used to like minyoung because she looks cute...but when she called jinseok an older brother and they thought their relationship was like a siblings' one. I was irked. And the more we get to see her perspective, the more I dislike her. 3. Hajeong is a queen. Like yes, go off queen. She keeps it so real with EVERYONE. She gives the best advices and the most transparent out of all contenstants. 4. Jinseok is such a green flag and he's effortlessly funny. 5. Gwanhee screams "narcissist" when he did his introduction and throughout the show, he's just urghhh so unlikeable. Idk why they're heads over heels for him when there's literally a guy like Jinseok lol. 6. I was so confused on why the girls didn't pick Hanbin at first, because fr I thought he was cute. But the campfire scene, after he got the candies, I was like URGH HELL NO. He was way too overconfident in that scene.. 7. But I do kinda agree with Gwanhee, as a person with a friend like Hyeseon...sometimes it can be quite exhausting to match their energy..but she's a cool person. 8. Gyuri threw me off at first, because she wanted to look "icy and elegant" but throughout the show, I can feel that she opened her eyes and becomes likeable 9. I feel bad for Sieun's. timing. I want Minwoo to be with herrrrr == After watching ep 8 and 9 == Holy moly, we are in for a ride.. 1. I still dont understand WHY they're head over heels for Gwanhee. He changes his mind like he changes his cloths ffs. 2. Hyeseon deserves so much better but I do see Gwanhee and her as the end game. It's like he really has a soft spot for her, even if it's just a little/ 2. Choi min ji gives me MAJOR bad vibes. The airplane scene was so selfish of her tbh. She wanted Gwanhee to not enjoy his time with Hyeseon and make him feel bad about her. Even if it's her real feelings, I don't think poking his arms to catch his attention was the right move..and some of her remarks are just questionable lol 3. Idk about minwoo.. He might say that he's going to pick Sieun at the end but he was still confused between Gyuri and Sieun. 4. Won sik and Si eun's situation was like nobody's fault. But I feel bad for both sides... 5. PLS just let Hajeong be happy :(( not with someone like Gwanhee tho. I genuinely hope she has a good time with Han bin at least to end the season. I mean, she was right in confronting Gwanhee and telling him the reality but Gwanhee's ego and pride are just unmanageable. It's sad that she looked like she was the "wrong" on in their 1 on 1 conversation when in fact, it's not her fault at allllll T-T 6. Jinseok is still mad funny LOL. Why aren't the girls simping for him xD 7. The only girls that I like are Hyeseon and Hajeong, others? sometimes they give me the ickkkkkk. Like this is so off topic, I like Si eun but her endless fiixing and brushing her hair kinda annoy me lol. LIKE GIRL, HOLD STILLLLL #sorrynotsorry

There’s honestly no problem with it either, she likes him, other girls do too and there’s nothing wrong with putting effort into what you want. People hating on her for that or minor things on the show in general are delusional but is it a surprise? Shows like this are a breeding ground for parasocial behaviour and people act like they know her based of what they see in 1 week.

Am I the only one who prefers the first two seasons to this one? I find it so jarring how GwanHee has 3 women fighting over him when hes acted so arrogantly at times. And then amazing people like Jeonsook are barely shown. I usually have a favorite guy and girl but struggling a little with this cast. It's definitely the GwanHee and Hejeong show.

I would say the budget is higher. There are 2 islands instead of one. Renting an entire island costs more than any 5-7 star hotel, and we have 2 islands this season. Also those tin houses are container homes so they cost more than tents to set up.More participants this season means more cost. The limousine, multiple sports cars, helicopter, yatch also adds to the cost.

no way, budget is higher. They have to pay for more hosts (and probably higher rates), rent two islands and have more contestants than ever. They need to have enough production equipment, staff and paradise activities to support all of that.

Gwanhee becomes like that maybe because he’s already used to girls throwing themselves at him on first meeting knowing that he’s an athlete and the top player in his team on top of that. With his height and communication skill alone, he managed to get more than 2 girls voted for him in the inferno. Do you think he’s the type to settle down easily on just one girl when he can take more girls out on a date easily outside of this show? 😅 Sad to say, Gwanhee knows his value as a man and uses it to his advantage, so it’s us girls that need to remind ourselves that we’re not going to become any guy’s backup plan and STEP UP OUR GAME. Moreover hyeseon and hajeong are equally as superficial and desperate to get him. They kept on choosing gwanhee all the time even though they know that gwanhee is not the most loyal person there is on that island. So you can’t really put the blame on gwanhee alone in this case.

I think the reason so many girls go after Gwanhee instead of great catches like Jin-Seok, is Jin-Seok is a one woman guy and he pretty much declared his loyalty. So the other girls thought "why bother" the chances of rejection were high. While a guy like Gwanhee who has no commitment the chances of rejection are low and it doesn't feel like your intruding on someone else's relationship. I also think there's this ego boost if you're able to get the non-commital guy to commit.

Won ik- he seems really nice and all but is so boring to watch. low key rooting for him and hyeseon thoo 6. Min young- I liked her a lot at first but now I feel iffy because she now likes jinseok after he starts hanging out with the new person? After she legit said he’s like a brother to her 7. Hyseon- Queen. One of my favs from the season and gives off positive vibes 8. Ha jeong- other fav of the season, she ATE in humbling gwan hee. 9. Min hyuk- he’s alright, feel like the first few episodes he got a lot of screen time then started disappearing slowly 10. rant but JS committing after 1 date on the first day is a red flag imuo 😭😭😭 and then when minyoung expressed her frustration she was being force-paired with him immediately rather than it happen naturally, he moved on rather than fight for her like a true one-woman-man like what we saw in S2 with Seulki 💀 he's a nice guy fr but I think people put him on too high a pedestal. One thing gwan hee did right was agree with hyeseon on their first date that they should also get to know other people
