agreed about nadine, so for the video to say Nadine should have done this or that is a bit off, can't expect her to do this and that when those are things she hasn't experienced yet, is intending to experience during the show but may not necessarily have an approach to, or may be outside of her own character as a kind person (especially when she steps aside and allows others a chance to talk to Jinyoung) she was constantly learning and growing as you said so my hats off to you for your comment, thank you!

Nadine has a very clumsy vibe to her, but in a good way. Like dong woo said, it’s like you can’t help but feel as tho you want to help her or see her succeed. As for seo-eun, I absolutely love her. She’s classy, bubbly, mature, and authentic. She’s very feminine & attractive, but also isn’t afraid to be friendly & just have a good time.

I agreed with what was said about “getting guys with good taste”. I’d rephrase it as getting guys with varied tastes. Before official casting, they should interview the potential male cast especially and pick guys who have different ideal types, different values, different likes and dislikes in women etc etc. What’s the point in picking different types of women and all the guys are into the same thing? Then only 2 girls fit what they’re into so they get all the guys and then the other girls just remain for whichever guys got rejected.

I feel like this season at least has more options than last. I also think these guys are going for girls they wouldn't normally go for irl. The 1st impression could be someone they are attracted to physically but that does not guarantee personal chemistry. Plus any human in a controlled setting tend to be more attracted to the person with the most admirers, its human nature.

My eyes were GLUED on Se-Jeong the moment she was introduced. She's GORGEOUS, and if this show took place among Westerners, she would be the top pick. I like that she speaks her mind, is funny, has charisma, and has confidence, unlike Seul-ki. I don't hate Seul-ki, and I don't think she's secretly evil, but I think she's boring and awkward. It's only her appearance and "innocent" vibes that men are going for.

Like how during the chicken fight she didint use her full strength against So-e since shes much taller and didint want to hurt her. I love Han-bin being the positive bubbly guy. To be fair to Seulki, it'd be VERY awkward to just straight up tell him that she is no longer interested when she was going to spend the rest of their time in paradise together. Not to mention, they were being filmed for the whole world to see. Look what they did to poor Jia. I actually liked that she was able to set those boundaries with him. It's pretty weird to judge Soe for being too attached, and then Seulki for trying to distance herself from a guy who was taking things way to seriously.

@@caringfor7670 I'm sorry, but I would've also been uncomfortable in Seulki's shoes. He wasn't even asking her questions to get to know her better, like "when did you start playing piano?" Or "what do you like to do in your free time? I like to ..." All of it was about if she liked him, calling her "pure" and "innocent" (considering their age gap, this was super creepy). Not to mention, he kept pushing her boundaries, such as drinking and trying to get her to say she likes him. Seulki also explained that she's pretty awkward bc she's focused so much of her time on studying and piano, so she lacks experience and needs more time, which everyone (Dong-Woo, the panelists, and the audience) is blatantly ignoring. I genuinely think everyone is forgetting they met A DAY AGO!! Of course, she doesn't know if she likes him or not! And that's ALL he wanted to talk about!

Nadine and Seo eun are my favs. I also like Se Jong. I actually didn't like Nadine going with Dongwoo bcs while asking for her he looked like he didn't wanted to go but forced himself to go with Nadine. Soe is cute girl. I like her honesty and good communication skills but i can understand why that guy didn't take her to paradise bcs she gives that vibes where a person will get too attached to you if u will show even slight interest which seems as desperate behaviour. Hope she stops and tries to know any other guy. About Seul ki even i was surprised of her popularity among guys. And i agree with u on her and Dongwoo date. I see people criticizing only Dongwoo but Seulki was at fault too for not speaking out clearly when she said she is honest person and expresses clearly.

The date between Seulki and that guy was horrible. She said she didn't want to drink and he insisted, that was a bad move.

When she said no other girls can beat her in the intro of season one, for me that's a big insecurity she has inside. She literally got her nose done and has fillers. It's pretty ironic for her to say that since the confidence she gained isn't from her natural beauty

0:20 she’s not a loser, she’s the strongest girl in the show because she didn’t shy away from revealing her feelings to it’s core, that takes alot of guts. Also she didn’t compromise with her feelings and choose someone who she doesn’t like. She talked it out with Yoon jae and after making sure that there was ko chance for them to be together she decided to let go and move on and she didn’t hang on to yoon jae after that. I liked So-e the most for her genuineness.

Honestly I think seulki and Seoeun are most popular between the guys because they fit the beauty standards. The guys try to hide it and say its not about appearance but it’s clear that it is Judging from the popularity of Seulki and Seoeun. Also I don’t know how Nadine isn’t being chosen from the guys personally I love her vibes and how cool she is. It's a red flag to me when people put the blame mostly Seulki or hate her without reason, I think a 30+ year old man should know when to stop if someone expresses that they're uncomfortable. And she did, multiple times. He was incredibly invasive for continuing when she expressed her boundaries clearly. The reaction to her not being into that guy and not faking interest after she realized it is giving internalized misogyny.

I also find it so disappointing that everyone keeps calling her and Soe "fake" for their elegant, cute, and innocent appearance and behavior. As if the idea of a girl who really is those things doesn't exist. Everyone calling Seulki and Soe pick-me girls are the actual pick-me girls ironically, it's giving jealousy. In order to be a pick-me, you have to be putting down other girls, which neither Seulki nor Soe have done, but 80% of this comments section is.

I love Nadine because I relate to her so much and as an introvert I would have done the same, I would have let the two talk alone because I would feel like in was intruding. Dont forget she tried approaching dong woo for the first time and got rejected so that must have effected her confidence

I would also get an ick like Seulki especially when the doctor guy was kind of reprimanding her for not having experience? He was like “You blame studying and business for not having experience but even when I was busy I made time for romantic relationships” to her. I thought it depends on the person whether they can focus on more than two things when studying/exams is super hard in South Korea. I understood that the doctor guy went to Yonsei University but Seulki also went to Seoul National University. I felt like Seulki didn’t like the power balance of the doctor guy who talked to her like she was a child like she said in the recent episodes when she dumped him. She wanted someone who would understand that she needs to take her time and doesn’t burden/pressure her to like them like the new guy she fell in love with.

That’s def one of the reasons why she likes Jinyoung. He seems pretty laidback and unassuming during their first date in paradise - a total opposite of dongwoo, who was so serous and obviously fishing for that “i like you back” from her during their date.

i'm only two episodes in but i don't agree with what you said about so-e. i just feel like she is deeply shy and introverted. she is not trying to fake her innocence or do aegyo. her personality genuinely is like that. in fact, she reminds me of yeawon from the last season. i really like her compared to the other contestants. i do agree with what you said about seulki and nadine tho.

Same I relate to So-e, there’s not many options on the show anyways so once she finds this one guy she tries to get him. She probably thinks this is like the movies where the guy will turn around and be with her eventually, but in reality she needs to move on and talk to the rest of the people on the island. Who knows, maybe after this episode she’ll realize that’s she gave him more than enough chances so it’s time to move on

I totally agree. So-e is my favorite girl this season because i feel like she’s the most honest girl there. But also I think this show is probably not the right scene for her to be searching for love in. Like she said, when she likes someone she only likes that one person. The way she crushes on guys is hindering her from exploring the buffet of men she has laid out for her lol which sucks cause I think someone there would like her if she went outside of just crushing on this one guy…

It makes me sad when people bash her for her "aegyo". I agree that it's just her personality. When she was having the serious convo with Yoongjae we saw that she's very mature about communicating her emotions. Sometimes she's more shy and soft spoken, but it's just another facet of her personality.

i dont really see the appeal in seul-ki either and i feel like she prioritizes looks over actual feelings specially cause she chose jinyoung when she barely even met him. i like seo-eun cause i think she's outgoing. i can only feel bad for so-e poor girl she needs to stop trying. i think sejeong is the prettiest in the show but most of the guys are going for the "innocent and pure" appearance which is kinda sorta weird ngl. but i really like her i feel like she's sincere and outgoing. nadine is unique cause she speaks more english than korean but i feel like every other girl overshadows her. i dont really see the hype about her either she doesn't really stand out.

Nadine stands out bcs of her unique face and most of all bcs she seems very high classy elegant kinda girl but when u get to know her she gives quite shy and innocent vibes. And u can see her genuineness throughout and actually a true introvert who is trying to gain new experience while trying to come out of her comfort zone. So i can understand the hype around her among viewers ,even i like her. But i can't understand hype around Seulki in show but she actually fits Korean beauty standards.

After the lunch with Jinyoung she said he's the opposite of her ideal type. I was shook when she chose him. She probably saw all the other girls drooling over him and that's why she did it.

i actually like so-e! i think she was being very vulnerable with yoong jae even though it’s probably not what she’s used to. she was very honest, she can’t control her feelings and it’ll be hard for her to move onto another guy like that. i also haven’t seen her do aegyo at all??? people see a petite ‘cute looking’ woman with a high pitched voice and assume all they want - i think she’s already proved that shes not trying act shy or ‘child-like’, shes proved she’s upfront and honest with her feelings..? i really feel for her 🤷‍♀️ also i really like nadine. she’s my favourite + i’m glad that in the last two episodes she approached jinyoung again !! same with seo eun, i think she’s so pretty and really personable - easy to get along with + very outgoing. i thought the thing she did on the phone in the beginning interview was sorta iffy though.

I think she cried because she never had any guys rejected her (like what she said in the beginning) and not because she liked him so much because tbh how can someone like a guy that much without knowing anything about this guy and the dude even showed very little interest to her (he never started convo and always walked with other girls) so I think she liked him because he matched her type/she found him physically attractive. Yet this guy rejected her and she thought she should do more yet he kept rejecting her. If it was me it would definitely hurt my pride. Tho I kinda understand why some audiences found her crying unnecessary (they barely knew each other can’t believe if this person was her ultimate crush for years how would she react). But again, it’s personal opinion and everyone is free to think their perception to each of the contestants.

I like Seo eun. She is pretty, bubbly and real. She is portraying herself which I love the most. I feel happy that she found her match.

This is exactly videos about season 2 youre looking for. The fact nobody chase after elegant, smart girl like Nadine, Sejeong, and So Eun shows that this shows is about dramaaaa where all of the guys type like cute, bubbly, aegyo, innocent look, short, and weak looking who need protection from a man.

I honestly thought most guys would have liked Sejong or Nadine more. I found them to be the most attractive (both looks and personality wise)

Yes! Wonder why so many people(mainly Americans from what I've seen) hate on korean standards so much, as if they dont have their own. It's not like korean guys only prefer women who fit into the korean beauty standards, rather it's the opposite. Beauty standards arise because most men prefer women who look/act like that. People should just get over the fact that in Korea the baddie extroverted albeit superficial women just don't really stand a chance against what a majority of men prefer and there's nothing wrong with it. You just can't choose who you're attracted to.

About Seul-ki, I think her being that way around people could be because she said she keeps studying and does not interact much with people so I think she could be socially awkward and feels the need to put a facade to fit in. I feel like I can't have an opinion about her yet until I see her date with the new guy. It would make things a bit clear. If she's painfully awkward to watch again on her next date, then maybe she really struggles with socialising who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ Honestly, I am not feeling any of the cast members this time. S1 cast was way better imo. But if I still have to pick my favourites, then probably So-eun and Se-jeong from the ladies and Young-jae from the guys.

I totally agree with you on So e ,like how are crying over a guy you only met 24 hours ago😅 but at the same time she was still my favourite because she said what her emotions was and tried to get him to like her (now she only need to move on because Youn Jae is not it…) not like Nadine who I felt bad every time because she was shy to approach men when that’s basically the point of the show. Well, rejection hurts. Maybe it wasn't much for youngjae as much as it was for herself. And it must be hard and embarrassing to put yourself out there on worldwide cameras and get rejected again and again. She's a soft-hearted person too and we have no idea what she's gone through and if this was a trauma response. Could be many things, i'm rooting for a happy ending for her

I have the same sense of Seul ki on screen. Because to be fair, I don't know her anywhere else. She is very inauthentic and somehow when she doesn't get her way (even in expectations) she makes the other person the bad guy for doing their "job" on the show. They are supposed to date! You can't just have someone stare at you like you're a statue and say that's dating? She is my least favorite character. What is beautiful is honesty. She isn't even on that page. every girl is likeable and has their own charm and appeal. Nadine (just straightforward and sincere while also being beautiful and brilliant so would like to be her friend and any guy would be lucky to have her) and Se-jeong (mature, feminine, warm, receptive) are just my personal favorites. I understand why guys are into Seulki and why she has haters (for one of three reasons, 1. she gets attention and has that ideal image, 2. repressed femininity or irritated by her shyness or innocence 3. find her acting, fake or inauthentic). Whatever the case may be, we all have flaws and no one deserves to be condemned and bullied. Don't blame the guys for not being into the baddie but kind of also superficial, shallow type. I do however, agree for more variety on the show including guys that may be more cultured and exotic. But then again, this show in and of itself the is superficial and shallow. None of the activities are mental, emotional and based on compatibility it is just physical and chemistry.

I agree with you about Se Jeong! I don’t know know why nobody picks her! It shows there’s only one beauty standard in Korea and that’s very sad. I also like Seo Eun a lot. I think she’s the most beautiful girls in this batch.

totally agree with you, I like Sejeong and Nadine best, they give me "the independent girl" vibe. It's like they need nobody. I also feel Seulki is a lil bit weird, like she's sometimes not innocent like she always say. I saw some comments on tiktok that she tryna act innocent so her face is strange but I wanna confirm that, it's just because of her nose plastic surgery makes her whole face seems to be stiff. My brother's a surgery doctor in Gangnam, Korea and he told me that just look into the structure and everytime she smiles, the part between her eyebrows have sth like a wrinkle but her nose still stay stiff. And if she stands under the sunlight more, we could even see the plastic part in her nose. I said this not because I wanted to bash her or sth like that, I just wanna prove that her face is not that "real" and stop throwing hating comments on Nadine cuz her skin is not that pale 🙏🙏🙏

Bro- So-e is just the best person on this show! She is the omly that actually could have REALS fellings on this show,I really like her and I don't think she does that for attention but I fell like she has a super good vibe she is maybe soing to much but I would say that she is the best to confort peoples and does her best to make all comfortable.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, when you are dissing someone’s taste and constantly saying “korean weird beauty standards” like putting your standard as if it is the normal standard, you just comes off egotistic

Honestly it's really disappointing to see how the guys always say they like someone pretty and it's so well received in the Korean society. Like okay we know that pretty people are very desired but you can't just describe your ideal type as someone who's pretty. Like if you ask them what you like about that girl they'll straight up say she's pretty💀 and I think two of the girls were overdoing the whole being shy around strangers concept. But their personalities do come out in the later episodes which is so much better.

I agree. 1. I feel like Seul-ki genuinely looks at her reflection in other people's eyes while they talk instead of actually listening to what they are saying lmfao. That's the vibe I get. She seems like she is trying VERY hard to come off a certain way and yet the guys are eating it up. 2. Soo-e : I liked her initially but now I really don't. I think her obsession with the guy she likes is borderline creepy. It was cute how open she was before but if he says no it means no. I feel like if a guy was doing what she is doing people would have more to say. 3. Se-jeong: Her personality seems the most vibrant. This is really weird but I think she messed up going with the neon-yellow/green dress during first impressions. It might not make sense but I feel like if she went with a different color, say white to show of her tan or black to embrace her "girl crush" vibe, she would be more popular with the guys. She's one of the few who can actually hold a conversation. 4. Seo-eun. 10/10. NO notes. Easy, breezy, beautiful. 5. Nadine. Honestly Nadine is very boring to me. I don't really get what y'all are seeing or why y'all are rooting for her. She also doesn't really know how to hold a conversation.

But I feel until the 4th episode, the guy soo-e liked kept playing with her feelings? How are y'all not able to see that? She liked the guy at the first and second episode, they even talked for a while. He also showed interest in her, and that made her feel confident he'll choose her. He NEVER mentioned straight out that he didn't like her. Not even in the 3rd episode, where they both talked for quite a long time in the tent. He told her he's curious about her. HE was the one confused between her and Seo-eun. He led Soo-e on and made her think he really likes her, while in the 4th episode we saw him choose Seo-eun over her. He thought Seo-eun wouldn't go to paradise and purposely chose Nadine. But then he realized she did go, and Soo-e, who thought he wanted to go with her, was left behind. I'm not saying she's not to blame. but she was just being honest with her feelings. And in the 4th episode, we saw how mature she was when she had a talk with the guy. She told him if she likes somebody, she doesn't give up easily. She even told him she doesn't want to pressurize him. She just wanted clear signs from him whether he really liked her or not. It wasn't her fault anywhere. The guy led her on because he was confused between her and Seo-eun. He said he wanted to get to know Soo-e better, and I feel he knew she would choose him again, but he didn't give her any hint nor did he say anything to her about the fact that he still chose Seo-eun. I'm not blaming Seo-eun here, the girl's amazing, but it was the guy's fault for not even giving Soo-e ANY hint whatsoever, that he won't choose her after making her feel he would. I believe now that they have talked she should move on and I believe she will. Don't go around saying this person is creepy when you don't know the whole situation.

He said that out lout to her directly. They even talked for ages in the tent. When did he "completely turn her down"? He led her on to think he's genuinely interested in her, but then chose Seo-eun over her when he chose Nadine. He didn't tell her anything outright that he wasn't gonna choose her. He led her on because he was confused between her and Seo-eun. In the end he did choose Seo-eun, but he didn't tell Soo-e anything about the fact that he won't choose her, even after making her think he would. Now after the 4th episode I think she finally realized he isn't into her that much, and now she'll move on. But you can't blame her for trying in the first few episodes, when he gave her direct answers that he's curious about her, wants to get to know her more, talks to her for ages and frequently work together. So far, season 2 is ok but only ok. I'm not out of my seat yet. There's no charismatic character so far, everyone seems to be just chill. To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of Jia in season 1, but the girl carried much of the show on her own and she had that IT GIRL FACTOR. yea there are these random moments where she'll just drop her smile out of nowhere and its scaryyyyyyy. Both her and seul-ki seem very ingenuine . Emphasis on SEEM. I do not know these people.

1. So-e I think Yoongjae has already shows that he doesn't interested in her and she'd got a tons of hatred if she were a guy. She's the most hard-to-watch for me since I don't like a whole a cute ordinary girl falls head over heels for the most popular guy vibe tho 2. Seulki First, I have to say that I don't like her inauthentic presence too but y'all are just over-hating her. She shouldn't be blamed for cut that creepy guy off at the paradise. Seoeun She'll step on Seulki really soon. She's pretty for korean standard, make a great conversation, sweet and has the prettiest smile. Ps. Like i get that about nadine. We are looking from a girls perspective and girls care alot about other things apart from just appearance -> girls will like her the most bc shes intelligent, chill, friendly etc. BUT from a guys perspective, when they look for a potential partner, sure shes smart its a bonus. But they care about looks ALOT more than we think AND guys are always attracted to innocent pretty girls like Seul Ki -> Seul ki wins regardless. Like just think, girls will always be attracted to confident, strong and tall men because its in our nature or at least we were taught since we were kids. For guys, first comes the look then personality and compatibility of the girl. AND we are in a Korean show. the beauty standard of Korean even makes it worse. So im not surprised when guys do not pay attention that much to Nadine tbh.

Seul ki is just fine, dont hate just because you dont like their beauty standard or you got the vibe of pick me, she is confused and dont want to rush things and maybe want to know them better first the latest ep shows more of her with the new guy and i like them more than with the plastic surgeon, some Koreans have stubborn personality if they like someone it's better to get rejected but at least try their best and have no regrets, its not like oh this guy didn't chose me I'mma pick someone else.
