But I think maybe because he was more courteous with Junsik since he doesn't know him as well, and the other factor being that he did actually spend more time getting to know Jia and only had a few short conversations with Yeawon. The combined factors led him to go with Jia. Like his interest was clearly there for Yeawon but he was a little discouraged. Hyeon-joong probably didn't say "please don't take Jia" lol because pride and whatnot. Idk all just theories

Tbh Hyunseung stated that he actually regretted not picking Yeawon in the Q&A interview video that they did together on her channel, it was also moments that he felt like Yeawon might have not been interested in him because she was with Junsik at the time, and he came in a lot later - only stayed for 3 or 4 days. I think it was just super unfortunate that Hyunseung came in so much later. Him and Yeawon would’ve been the cutest couple if he came in early days. He definitely smiled way more and had so much more in common with Yeawon during such a short timespan compared to Jia imo but yeah, it happens. He was trying to take his chance with Jia honestly but I laughed and pointed at my screen during the final ep saying “HA, THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR NOT PICKING YEAWON!” 😂 At least they’re really good friends right now from what I see. I ship them so hard even if nothing happens up until this day. Well… I also follow them both on Instagram and he liked her insta post 3 days ago so I’m happy lmfao!!!

Their dynamic is like that super shy guy x super energetic girl couple and I AM HERE FOR IT.

Why am I so invested in people I don't know?? Whaterver their relationship is, it's heartwarming to see they kept in touch and that their chemistry in the show wasn't fake.

Besides the gym instructor and the bespoke tailor (I forget their names at this moment), they were the only two that had actual chemistry to me. I was bummed that it never blossomed on the show.

She probably wasn't as refined and/or as physically appealing to those gym bros, but she had my whole heart.
