i am show about single cylinder solenoid valve engine. the copper coil winding on pvc pipe. the neodymium magnet ac on linear motor type. the flywheel are rotated.

The switch will not last long. A power transistor would be much better. A diode would be needed to prevent transients from damaging the transistor. Variable speed can be achieved with a simple multivibrator. Regards, Engineer from India.

Just a suggestion. You can try using Reed switch for exciting the electromagnet instead of mechanical switch.

Instead of magnet if you use iron piston, you may check if this runs faster. I.e. Bob teal's engine

I had a question, how are you applying 12 V DC when , both the wires are connected to the switch ?
Está quase no ponto o uso de solenoide, no entanto ainda pode acontecer que o imã se desmagnetize aos poucos... Melhor seria se fosse atraído somente um dos polos.
Tem que mostrar a fonte de energia. Até onde sei, não tem como gerar energia para isso, e mais com um único cilindro. Se fosse dois ou mais, as chances seria mais favorável. Mas gostei da engenharia, criação boa, dá para ter uma noção.

What determines the number of wraps of copper wire? I assume it’s a function of the strength of the magnetic field.
