Leslie composed this song himself. He performed this song on his concert, wearing a bathrobe. It is a song about himself, and he told people “I am what I am. Everyone is the honor to the Creator. I love myself!” This is such a meaningful song! Hua Chengyu must like this song very much, cause he sang this song at the end of every of his concerts. Not like other songs’ performance, Hua didn’t adapted this song, and he only used a piano as the accompaniment, also wearing a robe. It shows his respect to Leslie and this song.

"I Am What I Am (我)", a song that has great meaning behind and the only one that HuaHua never fixes or changes in respect to the original author, Leslie Cheung (張國榮), who declared herself openly bisexual, making known in 1997 his relationship with Daffy Tong Hok-Tak. Finally in 2003 he committed suicide. Hua Chenyu in memory of the artist acts this song in a bathrobe, as Leslie Cheung originally did.

Hua is very popular. I think no one will be angry when you make a response to all his videos. :-) Each episode is unique. Just like Dimash.

In my opinion, this is the best performance from Hua in this show. This song is a very very very special song in Chinese music. It was created and performed by a legend. There were too many Chinese singer performed this song in different stages, however none of them can nail it or even be close to the original version by Leslie Cheung. Hua Hua said this song I AM WHAT I AM, is his most favorite Chinese singer's most favorite song, so he only wants to sing it on important occasion and audiences listen with all hearts and soul. Jo Wang i believe HuaHua purposely choose to sing this song on that particular perform time to honor Mr. Leslie Cheung's anniversary which is on April 1st. And every year fans from all over the world make sometype of memorials tributes to him. I'm a big fan of Mr. Leslie Cheung and it was such heart warning thing to listen to this performance and have it kept unchange, very much truth to the original performance with the piano and bathrobe. At HuaHua's first note, i thought i'd heard Leslie-gougou. People said imitation is the most honest form of flattering, HuaHua must really loves Leslie's song to imitate him to the purest.

Hua is a real artist, so dynamic, so young, trying out his style, and fans love him being so dynamic. And he has god given talent. By the way, most if not all the songs he sings are re-edited by Hua himself.

You really need to check out huahua's "fake monk". It's tooooooo unique toooooo good to be missed out on. No other person in the world can give you that same performance ever again. It's really really really really different...

I see that you haven't react to QI TIAN (equal to heaven). It is what Hua's stated as one of his "achievement" in year 2017. He composed it for the movie "Wukong" and its does represent Hua's own style. I really love how Hua planned that song as "the after taste" of the movie. No wonder every time i hear that song, i got the movie scene running in my mind. He really nailed it. QI TIAN is a MUST if you really want to know his style better.
