I strongly suggest SOS at Singer 2017 (all episodes to be honest) to enjoy this song at its best... flawless techniques and a whole bunch of voice colors and styles with superb stage presence, a mature artist at his 24yrs old (back then). Maybe Sinful Passion at Sochi, Daybreak at Bastau, Love of tired swan, Mademoiselle Hyde, Screaming Idol Hits and Love is like a dream are also a must to listen. Dimash and TWB didn't end up in good terms, in kazakh culture adults do not compete against kids they only encourage and support them but TWB lied to him about it before it begun. Even more they cut (butchered) short all his performances to less than 2mins. Peace!

This is not the best performance of Dimash, the song was cut almost half or more. The best SOS performance was at the Slavic Bazaar in Belarus (to my mind) and at the Chinese contest I Am Singer. Please, react to Sinful Passion (the News Wave contest in Sochi, Russia in 2018 or at the Moscow concert in Kremlin in March 2019) + Love is Like a Dream + his new song Ogni Pietra at the recent concert at Astau arena in Kazakhstan (the last is really killing))))

Eman namE I have to disagree. I think the one at Slavic Bazaar is the best but it’s all opinion based. The Singer one is definitely not the “most honest” because that show is very well known for making most performances as perfect as possible in post production editing. What you hear in that one is just not all Dimash unfortunately, and once you’ve heard him sing that song live a few times and compare it to the Singer, it’s quite obvious.

@@clfoster82 wait .... so you're saying The Singer one which actually sounds less enhances than the Bazaaar for you is not better because they actually enhance pro production quality and pitch? Dimash real sound is the one from this show , raw vocals no enhancement and it's why he sounds shaky. So this is his real voice here . Bazaar had waaaaay to much reverb, but it has the best sound to introduce to a new person watching dimash for the first time.

TWB was absolutely the worst show in the more than 70-year history of American television. Dimash withdrew from the show and went home just before he was about to win a million dollars. Withdrawing from the show at that point earned him enormous respect around the world; and he was already known as a singer of immense integrity and talent.

Thank you Justin for your attention of Dimash. People and millions of his fans call him “alien”. It’s true. But to my mind he is the alien not from another planet but from another world. Parallel world where music is just a language using to speak 😊😊😊 Dimash suddenly burst into the music world in 2017 when he was just 22. It was TV show in China “I Am Singer”. And he became a Star after his first performance there. By the way just a couple weeks ago he presented his new solo show on stadium with about 40 000 + fans from more then 60 countries. The show called “Arnau” (“Initiation”). Check it please to see his progress as a singer and performer. By the way when he finished his last song he flew away on UFO. Ha-ha... i think it was his sarcastic joke to provoke gossips.

I can already tell I'm gonna love your channel. If you really wanna learn/discover Dimash's performing and singing talent, I highly, highly recommend going on the "Dimash Journey:" watching his "The Singer" singing competition show performances starting with episode #1 "SOS." His 3 performances on the show "The World's Best" were cut short from the original full-length songs (he was also sick in TWB SOS). He still sang great (as you mentioned) but these songs are really edited all over the place to be very short.

Brand new subscriber here. I wanted to thank you for a few things. Thank you so much for reacting to Dimash. He calls us (his fans) his Dears. I'm also happy to hear a reactor correctly assess his skill as hard earned and tirelessly worked for. He was born with longer vocal cords than normal but that's not why he's a near flawless singer and performer. I was classically trained for 8 years throughout school and as someone who had a little bit of talent in music, I definitely understand this because I tended to be better than the other students in band and chorus. But it wasn't because I was gifted (cuz I wasn't). I spent most of my personal time singing, playing my flute, studying music theory and listening to music. I was driven because I loved it but it wasn't the little bit of talent I had that made me so good. It was all the work I put into it every day. So many reactors will refer to Dimash as an alien or an angel. To me that doesn't pay respect to all that work he's done over the years. So thank you so much for acknowledging that. Also, I thought you might consider shielding your lights or in some way filtering that light a little because it's washing your face and eyes out. Your eye color tells me that your dad may have been a white walker (Game of Thrones reference). But I doubt they are quite that icy blue. **giggle** You're probably already aware of this but as you are marketing yourself and your skills, you want to put your best face forward. Just some food for thought. Hoping to be helpful. =)

Oh, Dear Justin. It is most unfortunate that your first reaction to Dimash's singing is this truncated and mutilated version of his "Le SOS d'un terrien en détresse." The mutilation is the work of the American orgnaisers of "The World's Best" competition in Los Angeles towards the end of 2018 (October?). Dimash made his conquest of the world in China, in the "Singer 2017" contest organised by Hunan Television with this very song. I was immediately addicted to his singing and his beautiful personality, and continue to be so till the end of my life. He was the first contestant to sing in the Hunan competition (he was 22 at the time of the performance). After the show, he won LITERALLY overnight 1.4 million fans (we now number tens of millions all over the world, and Dimash calls us DEARS). I'm extremely impressed that you got it through this truncated version fully and profoundly. Dimash is an incredible phenomenon. He is, of course, naturally talented but he has 20 years of training (classical, modern, pop) in the University of Arts of Qazaqstan (formerly Kazakhstan). He has performed "Le S.O.S.) at innumerable concerts of his. Justin, go on reacting and listening, and enjoying Dimash. I can guarantee that you'll not be disappointed. He's everything you say, and more. He started in a music academy at age 5, and beginning then, has trained every day from 2-5 hea. He was born with perfect pitch and he continually improves on perfection. His favorite possession, even in babyhood, was a bag of old cassettes. He knew there was music in them. My heartfelt gratitude to the reactors worldwide for your great help and service, so that artists can improve and or develop their talents and gifts at their best in order to serve better the listening public. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, courage, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his singing career to the best of his ability the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his listeners around the world especially the young will learn something from his optimistic views in pursuing his career, his persistency, courage, creativity and perseverance. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our life’s journey, but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth” St. Paul reminded us that “the sufferings of this present time are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters into us, our nature has been wounded, and we experience suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but it is part of the reality of our human lives now. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we did reconcile with God and at peace with others. Death is the end of our earthly life. Our lives are measured by time, in the course of which we change, grow old and, as with all other living beings on earth. Since it is unknown to all of us the time of our death, therefore, it is best that we prepare at all times, otherwise we are caught by surprise of not being ready when God comes to take us to be with Him forever in our eternal home in bliss. Great reaction. Good that you acknowledged all the hard work and training that Dimash has done in order to be such a brilliant performer that he is today. The World's Best is the worst example of his performances as they cut it so short, though it's good to see the reactions from the audience. You should really check out other songs of Dimash.

Dimash's voice is this. The version of I'm a singer has undergone as many changes in the studio as all the performers of that program. Obviously he is good but not as much as Asian programs show that must always be perfect and therefore subject to various changes

Several months after your first reaction, some discoveries about Dimash have been seriously considered. His voice has beome stronger and richer, and much more firm in the lower registers, since he did the demanding preparations for a majestic piece called Ognie Pietra. He gets better all the time, which is a kind of conundrum, since he was already perfet.
