This performance was more raw due to the fact that it didn’t have any microphone effects. Dimash still hits every notes and gave 100%. Love Dimash.

Yes, couldn't even pick up on a slight reverb here - definitely a very strong performance considering it is such a raw sound.

❤️❤️❤️ He’s not tired. He’s exhausted. He sang in three countries when this was taped. Not only that, but a very good friend of his, professional figure skater, Dennis Ten, was murdered just before this. Dennis skated to SOS. At his concert in London, Dimash got very emotional during SOS and had to go back stage for a moment. Thank you, Chris!

The Slavic bazaar performance of SOS is the most awesome. As a singer myself, I cannot ever say Dimash messed up or anything like that. He is a master of the trade and, always, respect.

Just that is a nice compliment. They even said we left the best for the last. He is not concern about not winning. He got a concert set for NYC. And his schedule is becoming brutal. Has 3 full sold out concerts comming up. He did wrote im his Instagram this will be his last time attending a competition. We wish to have some rest. He has a lot on his plate. The true talent-Dimash!!! He can't be compared to anyone. Especially with some singing little boys).Such as he is not, and the boys TNT will be much more. A Danish judge and a UK judge said something stupid to justify themselves. These people shouldn't judge singers. These judges have no ear for music! Dimash has long been the best and he does not need to prove anything to anyone. He's great!!! This competition will help people from other countries, such as America, to learn more about it. That's the only reason he's taking part in this competition. For me and all the fans of Dimash he is the only winner in any outcome! Endless love for Dimash and his art!

Yes. And did you see the Australian (New Zealand) judge's verbalising: "Oh, my God?"

I am glad you mention this. Not everyone realizes that he is human. Dimash had very busy end of the year. One day in Kazakhstan, next in Russia, next thing you know his concern is in London in November and finally America. The time difference with America is about 12 hours. You need about a week to get adjusted to the new time, you will constantly feel like crap until your body adjusts. And I know this from the first hands experience. Do you think Dimash had a week to adjust? I don't think so. Now I am not sure when exactly he was in America to participate in this show but during London concerts November 19 he had pretty bad cold and had to sign for 2.5 hours with soar throat and runny nose.

In Paris, he was sick, and I was pretty surprised by the fact that he was able to sing with a sore throat. He is pure talent! I do like your reactions to Dimash, thank you!)

I thought he killed it for his first time in the US. It was 100% live and undeniably a masterfully trained voice. I have been listening to this performance for the past two days and I still tear up and feel my heart leap. Dimash est un bel ange.

I went from Kpop to Dimash because he has really great and angellic voice. I’ve watched all of his performances and my favourite are Sinful Passion and Adagio. He is my new idol!

This is on a complete different level of singing. That's what we, Dimash's DEARS, have said all the time, month after month. It is unfortunate that there was a two-minute limit to every performance, which forced our Dimash to cut his singing to just one half of it. In my opinion, the performance was great. I think he was nervous to sing this beautiful song chopped off in order to fit TV time. He is a storyteller. exactly. I said the same thing to the others. The peaks lost some of the context without the softer gentler places that give it meaning. But he had to choose, show skills or tell a story in 2 minutes. With the label given to him, he had no choice but to show his skills up front.

I agree with you. I don't think he sounded tired. Totally agree with you. It was just a different version. They cut parts out of the song to make it shorter. But his voice sounded fantastic. Oh, and I love it when people who know the song mouth the words along with him. I've seen a number of people from various countries do this. It is great. I've seen Russian, and Chinese and Italian speakers do this.

Great feedback from you, Chris! Perhaps it’s one of the few times that we have seen Dimash vulnerable and/or his delivery is less than perfect. A sub-standard Dimash performance is still greater than most singers, professionals included. This SOS version is still outstanding to me! Thank you. Finally, the rest of the world now knows what we fans have known for a long time. The world's best! All the things you mentioned were factors why Dimash might not have been at 100% top form. Being the professional that Dimash is, "the show must go on." It's unfortunate that because of the audition time limit the song was cut. Dimash appeared tired and nervous, but was "on fire" like the piano and mic stand. Loved the performance. Looking forward to future world's best performances by Dimash, as well as by Daneliya from Kazakhstan and the TNT Boys.

Мне кажется интересным посмотреть и услышать, что может сделать мастер, пусть не в его наихудшем состоянии, но в любом случае не в его идеальной форме чтобы исполнять эту песню. В этот раз это французская песня. Я люблю эту песню. Я француз. Это С. О. С. Она никогда не была так хорошо интерпретирована, ни во Франции, ни где либо, как у Димаша. Давайте послушаем и прокоментируем его вокал во время его нового выступления. Давайте сделаем! 1:35 Во первых его французское произношение стало лучше, как по мне. Потому что убрано произношение "с" в конце слов. (привёл пример). Хотелось это отметить. 2:15 На данном этапе у меня нет ощущения напряжённости, потому что мне нравиться эта часть. Особенно потому, что вы можете взглянуть на его низкий регистр. Как для человека у которого устали голосовые связки, в низком регистре вы скорее всего потеряете вашу подачу. Это будет очень сложно сохранять подачу, особенно грудным голосом, если ваши голосовые связки устали. И на данный момент он делает это довольно хорошо. У меня нет ощущения усталости. Слушаем. 2:50 Вот именно. 3:10 Мне по-настоящему он нравится в этом регистре. Понимаете? Не только опера, не только сверх высокие ноты. Этот мягкий поп регистр или его микст регистр. Мне действительно нравится микст и грудной голоса, потому что он всегда использует силу его грудного голоса практически во всех песнях. Но здесь мне он действительно нравится в этом мягком регистре. 3:55 Для того кто устал, у него есть правильный регистр, у него есть правильный тон, он делает вибрато, во всех частях... На данный момент... По моим ощущениям это очень хорошо. Я бы не смог спеть так. Для того кто устал.... 4:35 Это моя любимая часть. Если поётся (произносит на французском)... Он поёт это оперными нотами. Это мой фаворит. Мне кажется люди как-то могут подумать, что это вопрос интерпретации. Может у некоторых людей складывается впечатление, что вокально не так сильно.... Я думаю звучание другое. Если вы послушаете самую первую запись, у меня складывается впечатление, что это голос которым делают больше впереди, голос слышен лучше. Теперь же, если вы внимательно вслушиваетесь, голос звучит в глубине, а не в переди, как в предыдущей записи. Но это сильно, правильный тон, вибрато... Как по мне, это прекрасная интерпретация. 6:00 Он остаётся для меня прекрасным исполнителем. Да ну что вы! Он устал и он делает это. Я не чувствую этого. Вы можете посмотреть это видео, которое я назвал "The six hardest...." о выступлении в живую и имеющихся проблем с высокими нотами и таким прочим. Это же совершенно другой уровень пения. Это моё мнение. Его выступление здесь - это вынос мозгов и выступление для того кто находится не в лучшей форме, что бы исполнять эту песню. Здесь много разных факторов: голосовые связки могут понести ущерб... Но не только это. Вытянуть это все, смочь использовать весь свой голосовой потенциал. Много разных вещей имеют значение. Если у меня джэт-лег и не было правильного питания, чувствуешь себя не здоровым, чувствуешь стресс, не смог полноценно отдохнуть, не достаточно пил жидкости. Столько разных вещей влияют на голосовые связки. Это не гитара и не пианино. Это очень сложный инструмент, который требует хорошей физической формы. Потом многие звёзды рока и тяжёлого рока 80-х, не сильно обращали на это внимания, устраивая постоянно вечеринки и могли брать прекрасные высокие ноты. И не смотря на это их полные выступления были великолепными. Но сейчас... И потом, нам не хватает той поддержки социальных медиен, которые снимают каждое выступление, что бы увидеть как они делали это на самом деле. Может быть это было так же как и у всех. Может быть у них были дни плохие и хорошие. 7:30 Как по мне - это был хороший день для Димаша. Правды ради, это точно не его худшее выступление. Я ещё не видел плохого выступления. Это лучше, чем какое-то другое? Вы предпочитаете первое выступление или это хуже?.... Я не знаю. Для меня - это другая интерпретация песни. Я предпочитаю эту, его выступлению в Париже. Я смотрел это где то месяца полтора тому назад... Точно не помню... Но это не очень впечатлило меня. Я не почувствовал той силы, которая была в первом видео, которое я посмотрел с ТВ шоу singer. Сейчас - это моё мнение. Дайте мне знать в комментариях, что вы думаете об этом. Что вы думаете о его голосе? Вы предпочитаете эту версию или какую-то ранее? Chris, I absolutely loved your reaction! I personally thought Dimash completely nailed it when I watched it on CBS television. I did hear later that the acoustics in the CBS studio were not as good as those for the Singer 2017 show. Several other reactors also agreed that Dimash crushed the song. But then I began hearing from other reactors that he appeared tired, sick, etc. I think we have to keep in mind that there is a clique of reactors on KZread who don't have Dimash's best interests at heart. These are the ones where most of the complaints originated. So I think we always have to consider the source of the complaints.

Thanks Chris, great Reaction, I don't know if he was ill here or not but I went to the London concert and yes he was ill, runny nose, drinking water a lot etc but he still slayed it for 2 hrs 50, a couple of his songs he didn't go up to the stratosphere as we know he can but still a great concert. Take a look there is a YT video of the whole thing by a fan which is good and you will see what he sounds like when he is ill. 😉💪❤

Hi Chris, another yet very positive vocal interpretation on Dimash's strong performance. Corraborated with another great vocal coach regarding the less than perfection conclusion from some listeners. Two musicians, 2 vocal coaches who really understand the flaws and imperfections of so called tiredness when traveling a lot, improper food and fluid intakes but seem not finding out any signs of fatigue on Dimash vocal strength inspite it the aforementioned factors why Dimash sounds less than perfect vocals. Thank you Chris. Dimash is just a vocal monster.

I really, really love your voice. I want to hear a full song of yours! As for Dimash, I don’t understand why people say it was his worst interpretation....it’s different becouse is shorter, but I love his raw voice. It’s true that I never saw him shaking like this...he always seemed very confident....but vocaly...I loved it!

Thanks once again great analysis The Singer uses a lot of special effects for the singer this performance was more Raw :) Yes all the traveling and shows he has been doing must take a toll on your body but once again Dimash show how impressive he and ant to perform his best:) People take these shows too serious Don't forget it just a show and does not mean anything :) So many great performers out there in there special fields that won't be on the show :) A lot of Child Prodigies out there...

Well I am Chinese fan and I have been to many lives show of Dimash. Dimash was definitely not in his good conditions. He can do better than that. He was a little nervous and tired. But his performing was still out of world. If u get a chance please go to his concert. A perfect Dimash with SOS is the most beautiful thing u can always imagine.

Au début, Dimash a appris la chanson comme autodidacte en écoutant Grégory Lemarchal. La chanson et surtout le destin tragique de Grégory l'avaient très touché. Lors de sa participation au show de Patrick Sébastien à Paris, Dimash s'est accroupi sur un genou sur la scène 1 minute avant la fin de sa performance! Selon la tradition qazaq, on le fait pour rendre hommage à la mémoire de quelqu'un très cher. D'ailleurs, en ce moment, Dimash était de même âge que Grégory.
