Angelina is beyond words and this is seriously one of her best covers, we need more like this!! Her tone and breathiness and richness in this cover had me speechless. And I genuinely did tear up and cry at the very end, full tears fell, but that's just a testament to her talent and ability to bring such emotion to her covers. I have seen this video previously, but it was a very long time ago, and I didn't realize until after I had already started filming it. I have become a lot more well-spoken and educated about Elvis so it felt alright to go through and watch it again! I love love love this cover so much though, it's beyond words incredible. Let me know what else I should watch!! And go watch my full Suspicious Minds cover :)

"Suspicious Minds" is a 1968 song written and first recorded by the American songwriter Mark James. After this recording failed commercially, it was recorded by Elvis Presley with the producer Chips Moman. Presley's version reached No.1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and it was his last hit record. Consider this; there are lots of performers that impersonate Elvis, and some can sound just like him. Have you ever experienced someone that sounds like Angelina Jordan, let me be the first to answer that question, the answer in no. That is because AJ is one of a kind, and on a level that supersedes all others. If you question what I have just stated just listen to the professional voice teachers after experiencing AJ. They all admit that they are speechless because they have never heard anyone like AJ. The children are AJ two little cousins, they are the daughters of her uncle Mike, he is her manager, and the oldest girl is her younger sister, Juliette. This is my 126th time experiencing this video, and each and every time it gets better. We must give credit to the support team behind this phenom. There is no one on earth that can match the talent of this STORYTELLER. AJ deconstructs a song then reconstruct it to make each individual hearing it feel it was written for them, a love letter to their comfort zone. Melrose Gallery is the same antique store in Hollywood that she used for My Funny Valentine AJ plays guitar, keyboard/piano, violin and flute. Don’t forget she writes music and was the youngest author in Norway to publish a book. No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can. At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been. What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Great touch, the cousins and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud, AJ's grandma produced this. (This red guitar is identical to the one Elvis played in his 1968 concert on TV.) Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. She has written a number of songs. © Larry D. Pifer

Executive Producer "grandma" Mery Samani, 2 younger girls (in white like Angelina) are AJ's cousins and the older girl in white is Juliette (AJ's younger sister). AJ's outfit is like Elvis' comeback TV performance, the same guitar and Rob's burgundy outfit matches Elvis' OGB band. I see Mery's homage to AJ growing up in her music journey. The antique store also appears in "My Funny Valentine" and "I Have Nothing" AJ videos.

@@AndreaSilvestroWhen a verse or verses that have deep emotional meaning and are delivered the right way to make the verse or verses more emotional, you simply can't resist especially if the verse or verses mean something to you. Angelina is to me, a master at knowing how to give extra emotion to the lyrics of a song by prioritizing telling the story. You can sing a verse in a million ways, and Angelina hits the right spot in how to pronounce it, what tone, how much breath, how much fry, rasp and all the details she can put in. That's why to me, Angelina is the next Legend. Lovely reaction Andrea 🙏🏻👍🏻

This is one of my favorites, and it makes me think of Angelina’s cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. Angelina takes on a completely iconic song, and the minimal accompaniment gives her vocals no place to hide. But the vocals are mesmerizing-we understand and feel the weight of the lyrics in a way the original singers never intended. Angelina shows respect for Elvis in so many ways, and she also has the ability to respect the song as well even though her arrangement is uniquely different. For me, Suspicious Minds and Bohemian Rhapsody are Angelina’s songs now. I can think of no greater compliment to a singer than that.

Andrea, you will appreciate this: The Hagstrom Red Guitar used in this video is a modern up to date copy of the one Elvis used in 1968, and belongs to Rob Christie, AJ’s A&R rep from Republic Records/Universal Music Group. The Hagstrom Red Guitar belonged to musician Al Casey, a member of Elvis’ backing band during the special in 1968. According to an accompanying letter from Casey, he was asked to let Elvis use the guitar by the producers, as they "thought it would look beautiful on camera and with the set." (Image credit: Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images) Elvis Presley’s 1942 Martin D-18 acoustic guitar may have recently sold for $1.32 million, but fear not - another of the King’s axes, this one his cherry-red Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, famous for its use in the legendary '68 Comeback Special, is hitting the block. The semi hollow instrument is a highlight of Kruse GWS Auctions’ Artifacts of Hollywood & Music auction, which begins on March 27. It's being offered with a starting bid of $250,000. By Matt Owen published March 31, 2021 Now, it has been confirmed that the legendary semi-hollow has been sold for a whopping $625,000, with the proud new owner of the lot managing to outbid six other plucky bidders to get their hands on the prized piece of music memorabilia. The ‘68 Comeback Special marked Elvis' return to live performance after seven years spent focused on acting in Hollywood films. The televised concert, which launched Presley's return to live touring, featured him playing the Hagstrom for the opening segment as well as during one of the live "stand-up" segments. Suspicious Minds was the last hit Evils had in his career. © Larry D. Pifer

Her Grandma, Mery Zamani, helped produced this. She used the same store (Melrose Gallery in L.A.) she used for her My Funny Valentine and I Have Nothing videos. Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano once again. He is also the music director of Republic Records, the music company she is signed with. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The black suit and red guitar was a classic look for Elvis from his comeback concert. What a performance and homage to The King! I just love how she is more concerned about the feelings and the meaning of the lyrics. Her version gives a totally different vibe than the version by Elvis.....

Daneliya's path is similar to Angelina's. Born the same year of 2006 Angelina in January and Danya in July. I found these two special singers 3 days apart in the middle of the night in November 2017. I'm going to give you Daneliya's blind audition for The Voice Kids Ukraine 2017 when she was 10. She sings 'Stone Cold' as her audition but when she was finished with that song and after some introductions she was asked if she had a second song prepared. Yes (Da) she said and everything went quiet and she started singing 'Tree My' is how it sounds in Ukrainian which is the language she sang it in, much to the amazement and delight of everyone there. The whole audition lasts 17:23 or so. But it's worth it. Then I am giving the link for her newest original song called, 'Tied'. She is 17 and grown into a stunningly beautiful young woman. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nHuJ06uOZtieddo.html Daneliya 10 'Stone Cold' by Demi Lovato. Thank you for returning to Angelina. Your reactions to her performances are always worth watching. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).

My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust. © Larry D. Pifer

The continuing maturity of Angelina genius is staggering. Have you heard or reacted to the wonderful Irish singer Allie Sherlock? A sound and tone all her own, she has for years, entertained the lovely people of Ireland as a street busker.

The most solid onset phrase ive ever heard in any song. She literally sculpts sound with all her gifts. Her notes are three dimensional , round and warm on the bottom and clear and earnest on top with each word fulfilling its own shape and time. Each has its own attention and execution. Her songs come alive

It has been an absolute blessing having Angelina come into my life just 3 years ago. I was, like you, her voice would bring me to tears! So I started watching A TON of reaction videos of her, just to see if others were reacting the same way and most did! That my friend is how I found you. You know what is pretty cool?, is I started watching all of Angelina as you did and was so cool to see her journey till now, BUT what I just realized in this reaction video, is in the 2 years I've been following you I've also seen your music journey grow! Since I first started watching you your knowledge of music has matured and advanced big time. You have always had a great voice but when you sang "We can't go on together" in this video it hit me and I was like "WOW Andrea your voice is so beautiful and has come a LONG way!" Angelina is so great that's obvious but you have a talent as well my friend! That is why I always love supporting your channel!! Mad respect for your talent and content!

Angelina Jordan in Paris Steven Spielberg Angelina Jordan is a young singer who has amazed the world with her voice and style. She has performed in many countries and events, but one of her dreams was to sing in Paris, the city of love and art. That dream came true when she was invited by Steven Spielberg, the famous director, to be part of his new movie project. Spielberg was impressed by Angelina's talent and wanted her to sing the main theme song of his film, a romantic comedy set in Paris. Angelina was thrilled and accepted the offer, and soon she found herself in the beautiful French capital, recording the song and exploring the city with Spielberg. They had a great time together, and Angelina felt inspired by the culture and history of Paris. She also learned a lot from Spielberg, who shared his wisdom and experience with her. Angelina said that this was one of the best experiences of her life, and that she was grateful to Spielberg for giving her this opportunity.

Again, Rob Christie from Republic Records / Universal Music is playing the piano and has been working with AJ since she signed with RR at the ripe old age of 14. AJ and Rob came up with this arrangement, and AJ is using Rob's guitar, a replica of the original one Elvis barrowed for the 1968 Comeback TV Show.

It's a gift to feel things deeply, and to cry when hearing others pour their heart out. As a stage musician, It used to irritate me when I would cry over certain performances...now I just embrace the moment no matter what may come. You yourself have that deep and beautiful quality in your voice...just let it come out and bless us all. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.

It is her use of light and dark, airy and full-voiced. I know what you mean though. The opening of this song always has me in tears. I want to hear more of just her natural full voice without affects like the airy and "fryie" you know like how she sang 'Feeling Good' when she was 10. If you haven't heard it, the link will be below. I don't mind the fry and the airy. Just wish she would do a song every so often in just her voice. kzread.info/dash/bejne/omyfo65mo6qwqJs.html Angelina 10 'Feelin' Good' by Anthony Newly and Leslie Bricusse.
