4:28 My guilty pleasure has been satiated. That look when someone first hears Melissa growl. Melissa has a voice that can just pull you in, and then she switches to her growls and rips your face off. They only response is "Thank you, do it again!" I've been following Melissa "Busy" Bonny for about 2 years, she gets better and better. She and her band-mates know how to make good music. They balance the superb clean vocals with adding the kick of her growling when it's appropriate. Also, she's one of the few growlers that I can understand the first time and not need to look up the lyrics.

You could hear Melissa scream in his song "Marching On Versailles," by her main band Ad Infinitum, also in the song "Inferno", in "Jenny Of Oldstones", by a second project of her called The Dark Side Of The Moon, and certainly so many more in her ancient band Rage Of Light^^

@@AileenSenpai Null Positiv is another "beautiful beast" band. Her singer, Elli Berlin has such a wide range, her growls are similar to melissa, but her clean voice is a bit mor smoky. I recommend, in addition to "Wo Rauch ist", "Kollaps" and "Turm der Angst" (Tower of fear). All 3 of these songs have english subtitles. And, if you´re into more uncommon stuff, I also highly recommend Bloodywood. Especially "Jee veerey"; "Yaad"; "Gaddaar"; "Aaj" and "Dana Dan". Indian folk metal that will blow your mind!

She’s featured in a Warkings song “Odin’s sons”. It’s so epic!

For another Melissa Bonny project, you should check out "The Dark SIde of the Moon". That is a side project of her, some members of Feuerschwanz and of Amaranthe. They will be releasing their first album soon, but check out the song "Jenny of Oldstones", which is a song from Game of Thrones, but the band makes it a awesome metal version. (Also includes some great Melissa clean and harsh vocals) Ps. I like how your heartbeat sensor jumped up by 10 when she started doing her harsh vocals.

A known hurdy gurdy player in Germany is Patty Gurdy. She has featured in a dArtagnan song called "Farewell". Ben Metzner, the long haired dude you know from the Feuerschwanz videos, is the lead singer of this band.

I loved Ms Bonny in Rage of Light, she isn't with the band anymore though. A lot of their songs are pretty growly. Some favorites: I Can, I Will; Mechanicals; Twilight of the Thunder God(Amon amarth cover)

Its also funny to see that outside of making musik she is just a totally sweet girl who is just smiling and giggling all the time. Just watch her reaction videos she did together with "Mr. Rock N Roll" for example, especially the Batmetal ones, or also her Interview with Elizabeth from "The Charismatic Voice"

I'm so proud that this lady has made such an intelligent musical classification, I've rarely seen someone so critical, except the one with the didgeridoo at folk metal that no one had thought of before and I thought it was a hurdy gurdy, silly me, thank you many times :)

That twanging sound is a jaw harp throught the video. This Feuerschwanz song is also one of my favorites because it is such a fun song. Feuerschwanz just released an album at the beginning of this year called Memento Mori. Melissa Bonny has sang for a band called Warkings they are a power metal band. The 2 songs she has sang with them are Sparta and Odins Sons. In those 2 songs she is singing in her growling voice.

Hahaha! Melissa is experienced growler! First with her old band "Rage of Light", and then in some songs with "Ad Infinitum" (I 'm the Storm and Marching on Versalles). Also, she was guest in two songs of "Warkings" like Queen of Damned (you can find all songs on Napalm Records channel). In the her side-project "The Dark Side of the Moon", she also have a good growl in the song "Jenny of Oldstones"! Hahaha! She is, also, very nice and humble person (she is beautiful) so I never meet somebody who don't like her. At least in my city!

The Song is a cover from a German reggae-dancehall-hip hop-Ska, what ever band, called Seeed. You can check out rage of light too. Another Band from Melissa. Maybe the song - Mechanicals or twilight of the thunder God. 🤘☠️❤️☠️🤘

Dancehall is just such a feel-good genre for me - tho i'm a metal head for the most part :D

Melissa Bonny was in a cover band before called rage of light they have multiple song where she growls, Twilight Of The Thunder God for example.

I may be late to the party but I just saw this reaction and found it very genuine funny (I tossed a subscription). I actually envy that you can still hear for the first time everything Melissa has done till now! I always think that a good entry point to know Melissa is Mechanicals with her ex-band Rage of Light. It was trance metal then and she perfected her voice in these years but it's still pretty awesome nonetheless and you get a lot she has to offers (the spoken intro, and the ending of it, gets me every single time). A fairly hidden gem that very few talk about (I don't know if it has been mentioned) is "Teardrops". Just her and Jonathan Pellet (again, Rage of Light member) on the piano. It's "only" clean voice there but it's watery eyes everytime. You probably have lots of other suggestions (she's very very active with her projects and collaborations) so I won't go any further. Have fun :)

my personal favorite song of hers with growling parts: Liar Liar - Kamelot / by Melissa Bonny (Cover) - directly on the yt channel from her, 5 years old but so great.

You should look for 'The Dark Side Of The Moon'! The new Band from Hans "der Aufrechte" Platz (Feuerschwanz Guitar) and Melissa (Ad Infinitum).

For some reason I focused on your right (left from my perspective) eyebrow for your entire intro, that was fun. Now on to the actual reaction^^ Okay, so: This song is just so much fun. When I first watched the video on my own, I was just as surprised by Melissa's harsh vocals (only knew her from the "Warriors" collab as well). Now I saw Tank the Tech and you equally surprised and amazed by her growls, which is just so entertaining. I mean come on, in the outro she sounds like a literal wildcat, it's insane. I checked out a few Ad Infinitum songs at this point, and I remember really liking "Marching on Versailles". Don't recall if it has any harsh vocals, but the song hella slaps, please do check it out!

Hi Aileen ! Mel’s previous band was Rage of Light and they covered Twilight of the Thundergods, the song is entirely in growls. On the opposite, if you want to hear her beautiful headvoice, listen to Fear of tomorrow, a collab with Malefistum, lyric video. Of course, she’s doing an amazing job with Ad Infinitum so check out more of them 😉 And btw she would never stab you, for besides being an awesome singer/songwriter she is also one of the sweetest persons that I know !

I've only just discovered this band myself. They are awesome! Kinda fallen out with modern music from the UK and America. It's exciting discovering all these new bands from different countries. Amaranthe are also ace and BattleBeast are incredible. Check out a song called Master of Illusion. Proper good video too.

Melissa Bony is one of my Favorit singer too. She is amazing and have a Wonderful voice

I have to agree most people in here, any Rage of Light prior to last year is all Melissa, anything from the Warking ft. The Queen of the Damned is Melissa, more AD Infinitum is of course Melissa (use to be a solo project now her main band) and same goes with anything from Dark Side of the Moon is her side project with members of Feuerschwanz and her boyfriend (the drummer from Amaranthe [another band worth checking out])

If you want Melissa growling definitely need Ad Infinitum in your life. Favorite of mine is “I Am the Storm” and “Marching on Versailles” is also greatly recommended, she’s such a great vocalist have yet to find anything she doesn’t do great with

Older, but check out Rage of Light - Mechanicals. This is a band she was in until recently. For fun, check out RoL's cover of Lollipop.

I wish Melissa Bonny growled more - Marching On Versailles and I Am The Storm by Ad Infinitum; Mechanicals and the cover of Twilight Of The Thunder God by Rage of Light which Melissa formerly did lead vocals for, and her featured vocals on Warkings' song Odin's Sons are good ones for Melissa growling (the guy who organized Rage Of Light also does backing growls on those songs with a very similar tone). For more black female growls, a band that isn't active anymore and never got a big following but is worth checking out for your own enjoyment is Straight Line Stitch with Black Veil being a good starting point.

Melissa sings also in other bands like "the dark side of the moon" (they have Fabienne Erni as a featuring for instance) and has the raspy voice in the band Warkings (playing the role queen of the damned) : Odin's song. Feuerschwanz has a lot of funny videos like "Meister der Minne" or "berzerkermode but even more serious ones like "bastard von Asgard" (featuring... Fabienne Erni) (one of my favourites , actually) Anyway I am a huge fan of both !

Bands to check out on that: Feuerschwanz (I include them in the list of still to-check cuz you only have done covers as of now....try Memento Mori for a great original song, for instance) Saltatio Mortis (who have 4 songs in the Elder Scrolls Online, btw) In Extremo Schandmaul Corvus Corax / Tanzwut (the latter being the electronic-instruments project of the former, for the most part) Greetings from Germany, your pronunciation was pretty on point! ;)

For hearing her growling I also would recommend checking out her work with her former band Rage of Light. A good mix of clean vocals and still a lot of growl would be "I can, I will". If you find the time definately check out "Mechanicals" as well. Ofc for only growls the otherwise suggested "Twilight of the Thundergods" is the go to song. But I presonally prefer songs where you can hear both her beautiful clean vocals mixed with her growls as they work as perfect counterparts. What would Mr. Jekyll be without Mr. Hyde, or vice versa? ;-)

Btw: the German medieval bands had the stigma that they were takin'themselves too serious, so Feuerschwanz and Melissa made this one (it's a cover of a pretty popular, usually not too serious, especially in this song, German rapper)

Of course. But I think Peter had less single albums than with seeed. But he had more success with his solo albums...
