This is such a great song by Don McLean! He originally did it in 1972. What a great remake with Home Free! Rob's voice is perfect for this song. Such a beautiful tribute to the sad life of the painter Vincent Van Gogh. He suffered from depression & committed suicide. He never saw any success during his life. But now his paintings are worth millions of dollars.

The video title is misleading, since this is actually from Don's new album. They sound terrific. Good showcase for Rob. They also backed him on the title track, American Bous.

Just WOW!!! It's hard to imagine this song could get any more hauntingly beautiful, but #HomeFree and Don McLean have just outdone themselves. I can't replay this enough. Great reaction Brad; I think Emily would love this one too.

They did an absolutely amazing job backing Don up. I love how well Rob's voice sounds with Don's. And also hoe Austin, Rob and Don sound together. They have actually done one other song with Don on his album. I always enjoy watching your reaction to these guys.

This is gorgeous! It amazes me how Don's voice has not changed much in 50+ years. The harmonies are exceptionally beautiful. Love to see Adam Rupp singing in his beautiful tenor voice. Love your personal song. It is beautiful! Love your reaction! #HOMEFREE #DONMCLEAN

This is truly phenomenal! What a voice Don McLean still has! Wow. And of course Austin also sang great, but Rob's voice is just perfect for this song. His voice so warm, soft as silk and full of emotion. The quiet background vocals and guitar playing complete it for me. It's the same song as my youth, but with the Home Free twist it's something different. A beautiful song where I, of course, as a Dutch person, know the history of Vincent van Gogh well. If I could, I would have given Don McLean and Home Free a bouquet of sunflowers in memory of Vincent. The sunflower one of his most famous paintings 🌻...... 💖 💖💖💖💖💖

Timeless. Many can relate to this (sadly). This is probably the saddest yet most beautiful songs I have heard in my lifetime so far. Mental health is so important. Don delivered it impeccably ... after all these years. Having Home Free behind him enhances, well, everything. They too are impeccable.

Thanks, Brad.. I usually avoid "covers" .. even though I know "Home Free" are a great harmony group.. I will always cherish Don's original version, but I think it's very cool that he recorded with this talented group, and sang most of the lead- yet gave up the higher notes to those who could do them better... appreciate that you reacted to this...

But they should have stood in front of the famous painting by van Gogh, The Starry Night. I saw Don McClean about 6 years ago (and once early in his career) at City Winery (NYC). He was outstanding. People sang along to songs, including the very long (Bye Bye Miss) American Pie. I can’t believe I still remembered every word!

Don McLean doesn't write lyrics - he puts poetry to music. Hauntingly sad & beautiful. Home Free's harmonies are incomparable and they're the perfect collaborators. They always spotlight other artists and stray true to the concept of the composition. BTW, I so want a copy of the picture in which they're literally absorbed.

Please, please, please tell me why people insist on lip syncing to songs that they think they know? I see it all the time and it drives me crazy. I love the channel and 99% of the reactions, but something about watching people try to lip sync is really uncomfortable. Am I alone in this? I understand the appeal of singing along to a song you know in your car or in the shower, but just mouthing the words on a reaction video is just weird.
