Lyrics:
You do something to me
Something that simply mystifies me
Tell me, why should it be
You have the power to hypnotize me?
Let me live 'neath your spell
Do do that voodoo that you do so well
For you do something to me
That nobody else can do
Let me live 'neath your spell
Do do that voodoo that you do so well
For you do something to me
That nobody else can do
That nobody else can do

She's certainly so underappreciated due to her political and religious views but now in today's civil unrest in my opinion she was well within her rights to speak out . Even if you didn't like her tactics. She was ahead of her time... at least she made it clear she wasn't going to be ignored.... Salute to you Miss O Conor.......

Thank you for making our life emotionally richer and more beautiful despite the fact that it was difficult for you. 💔 RIP sinead O connor
This was done in 1990. Absolutely exquisite rendition of this Cole Porter classic! Anyone elsee see that there are men dancing together in this? What a loving, accepting person she was. R.I.P. I'm so sorry you suffered so much while you were here....
Sinead was a rare creature - she had literal sex appeal, but didn’t want it. She could’ve had fame on a plate, but decided to make herself imfamous. She was naturally beautiful, but made herself as ugly as possible. She was a prime example of rebelling against the industry and becoming her own identity.. absolutely legendary. I pray her legacy live on for many generations
RIP Sinead. A humanist, a lover of life and of moral objectivity. Called out the Catholic church before it was cool. Vegetarian. Lost both her mother and her son at tender young ages. Perhaps driven a bit mad by how much she cared about doing the right thing. If there's an afterlife, few deserve it more than her.

but converted to islam.. a lot of child abuse they call "marriage".. and a lot of filthy imams/ mullahs.. you all forgot pedos are attracted to where they can find their prey, and fixated on the catholic church. Nearly as bad as the ones conflating gayness with pedoism.. gotta respect the veg thing, as i do that too. Im sure she is perfectly safe and welcomed wherever she is. she was pretty popular here, if only for a brief time for a musical soul and a pretty face. x
One of my favourites from Sinead with a great arrangement and a David Lynch-esque video. God rest Sinead, you lived a life true to yourself and will be sadly missed.xx
Omg she’s stunning here.
I agree! her fawn like eyes and those dimples 🔥

@@doublewhopper67 Lifestyle? you call overcoming childhood trauma, PTSD, standing up to a bullying abusive church that infiltrated every part of the country she grew up in, and being bullied by the mainstream media and thousands of loons for outing the Pope as a pedophile protector . . you call that 'down to her own lifestyle. She also had a hysterectomy that brought on a premature menopause that made her suicidal. Truly comments like this boil my piss. She was adored by people who loved her but she still had to deal with disgusting comments like this everyday of her adult life. She had 8 grand left in the bank after years in and out of hospital. She toured her arse off to make a living. She woke up everyday and loved the Holy Spirit and did it with such human grit. and after all she endured she lost a child to suicide. Your comment = swamp water
God Bless Sinead O’Connor✨🍀🙏
Good god she’s gorgeous and her voice is hypnotic absolutely love her 💞 RIP beautiful Sinead I sang to so many of your amazing songs and I always will!!!
You were one of the greatest singers of all time. We will never forget you, Sinead. That signature sound...even incorporated here, it's beautiful.
This has to be the BEST rendition of a Cole Porter song I have heard. They use practically the same arrangements from Ella Fitzgerald's 1956 version, but Sinead is so seductively cool and modern in her remake that it knocks out all modern renditions of Cole Porter songs. Probably the only time she lets herself look this GORGEOUS. WOW and Double WOW !!

She ripped up a picture of the pope on SNL. She was essentially blackballed and hated after. She called out the catholic church before people were ready to understand how awful they are.
Lovely & fun!
Such talent, such a great voice. I hope you find the happiness she has given to so many others, I pray for your lost son.

@@redacted2275 look at how Madonna and Kylie monster women are treated, and then look at Sinead as a singer in a world of pop star worship she was most certainly underrated. Not anymore. People feeling bereft on her behalf isn't drama, not in my book
In actual fact, Sunead recorded this as part of a compilation by many artists including U2 as the first Red Hot and Blue benefit albums for AIDS. It was never released as a single by Sinead. RIP Sinead. You will be missed.
Such a beautiful performance
RIP Sinéad.
Seductively fine. She and Bjork dipped their toes into sentimentally tunes.
I hope Sinead is in a peaceful place now. Back in the late-80's there was no one like her on the rock scene. Then as her star began to rise, she was also wrestling with her personal stuff. It all imploded with that SNL performance, or rather what happened at the END of it. After that, it was basically career suicide. Maybe she felt more at peace without being in the spotlight. Prob one of the most misunderstood artists of all time and I think she preferred it that way. Rest ur soul, S.
Nothing compares!
You were always a hero and role model to me since I was little and vulnerable. I still think you're one of the best. Please don't give up and know that you ARE profoundly loved by a lot of people. You're precious and beautiful and real.
Oh My! she looks so utterly stunning!! RIP x
Rest in peace, Sinead O'Connor. This was your best song performance, in my opinion
Oh damn how I miss that voice.... Thanks for coming back to us.

Music is a bliss that shapes our memories through our lives! R.I.P
One of the best rendition of Cole Porter's classic song. Sinead recorded it in 1990, long before it became fashionable for pop artists like Amy Winehouse & Lady Gaga to record songs from the Great American Composer Era to increase their popularity and marketability.

In the case of Amy Winehouse I’d have to disagree: that is the kind of music she always listened to growing up, and she was already way more popular than was comfortable for her by then (if you are referring to Tony Bennett that is 😉)
RIP Sinead you were loved by many.
Sinead I'm praying for you ❤️💔💔
RIP. Beautiful, brave woman. 😭
She put: Silence = Death Action = Life .

One of my favorite Sinead O’Connor Covers….RIP YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
Sinead is performing as a traditional beauty of the 20s with her sprawling blonde hair, underpinning a beautiful raging artist. This corresponds with drag artistry and highlights a visible double performance which was very much in touch with the theme of supporting aids victims and medical research of the album.
What a gifted voice, a brave woman and so beautiful. Thar new look she had made her look even more beautiful. Rest in peace, dear Sinead.
Loved this album
A chanteuse at heart.
Why is it that it took her death for people to realize how awesome she was?
Sinead you are an angel..Thank.you.
I always found Sinead beautiful even though that's rarely mentioned due to her shaved head. But to my eyes, her beauty has always been obvious, and it doesn't even matter what hairstyle she adopts.

@@Blackfeet she isn’t a “nutter,” she was abused by her mother as a child and is dealing with her trauma. It’s easy to judge someone else and label them as unhinged or crazy, when you haven’t experienced what they have experienced. I think that’s an unfair generalization to make.

💜Gorgeous and blessed with a divine voice💜
Rest in peace dear Sinead. I have always found solace in ur music.
This song makes me very happy. I worked with an off-off broadway theater company in NYC many years ago that one of our specialties was to revive Cole Porter musicals that had never been revived since they originally opened. The Cole Porter Trust was very generous to us with giving their permission to stage these shows. This song, "You Do Something to Me," came from the show Fifty Million Frenchmen that opened in November of 1929, around a month after the stock market crash that launched the great depression. My role was that of Michael Cummins, the young romantic (2nd) lead!!! This staging that I appeared in was in 1980. Wikipedia did not mention our original staging but rather a later one...
She is so romantic and vintage style ❤❤😚
