they are a band without pretensions, and simply the best

Superb band, seeing them again this summer....my 1st gig was maine road in 91 for the real life tour....and seen them another 8/9 times since👍

I have always loved the guitar playing of Charlie Burchill 😍 This band is amazing 🤩❤

Couldn't agree more!

People need to put more respect on them. Hell… as much as people talk about their early work… they made AMAZING albums all the way through the 90’s. And their last four-five albums are great as well. Love Direction of the Heart.

First 6 albums are magnificent fantastic band

I still miss Mick, Derek and Mel. That was the best line up ever. Mick is the biggest loss in history of Simple Minds. His ideas on keys were so damn good.

Agree - classic line up. Forbes bass Mel Gaynor drums & Mick MacNeil keys sorely missed. Despite MacNeil being gone for years don’t they ever really replaced him

Yes I love them too. It's one of the 2-3 bands that made me want to make music. They still make amazing music years after their brilliant first albums :)

Sons and Facination .. Boys from Brazil , In trance as Mission , Seeing Out the Angel , Love Song , The American , Theme for Great Cities Excellent Album ! Boys from Brazil a Weird Wonderful song One of there Best Songs!

Yessss ! Some amazing songs. Personally I am into their early work too 😊

My favourite album has to be New Gold Dreams closely followed by Street Fighting Years, after Real Life I couldn't stand any more of their albums, with their album Black and White 050505 that was the come back for me, after Big Music they have fallen off the radar again

I 100% Agree. New Gold Dream is also my favorite SM album. However followed by a close 2nd and 3d I chose 2: Sons & Fascination 3: Sister Feelings Call

One thing you cN Say about them .. They've been Compared to U2 ... They're a Much Better band Than U2 Will ever be .. They Sold Out ! Can't stick Bono at all !

what does U2 have to do with them. And I prefer Simple Minds, but U2 have on occasion made some good songs the last 30 years, unlike Simple Minds, though when I last saw SM live 10 years ago they were excellent. I miss Mick and Derek
