One of the best frontmen in the world of the most underrated band of the world. Far beyond U2

U2 and Simple Minds sound nothing alike, no competition, just different.

Simple Minds make music that is exquisite and whose structure is undescribable. Try to pin it down, it's not possible.

His realtionship with founding members of SM is disgraceful i listened to a interview with Brian last night and its heartbreaking his physical and mental condition when he left the band in 1981 and he overreacted to the sacking of DF what the fook was he thinking !! and Mick had enough by 1990 its no longer a band its a karaoke machine !

I tend to agree with you on a few points.. they are my favourite band of all time… however I got sick and tired of the constant turnover of band members.. that could of been for many reasons but you do hear things of Jim being difficult at times.. now when I see them I think fair play to Jim and Charlie for still having the energy and enthusiasm to keep going.. but I just can’t warm to other session musicians that come and go.. for me the last line up I did like was the period that Malcom foster was on bass.. that line up was the last I warmed to.. still I guess we all get older and nothing stays the same

I went to see them at Leeds First Direct Arena last week and they were as good as they were when I last saw them in 1989, great live band
