@Elijah Mayfield Your obvious deflection from standing corrected aside; you didn't start your comment with a capital letter and it's "were" not "where". His attitude wasn't bad or negative, the kid is simply doing what is known as "putting on a brave face" .. it was just a defense most use when they believe they may fail and pretend as if it doesn't bother them when in reality it hurts deep. If you notice when Simon said he likes him, his voice became a bit tender.. this was the real kid inside showing that he was scared in the moment.

That is very true, but at the same time, putting on a brave face doesn’t justify the fact that you annoy and even hurt others on the way. Understanding where certain behavior is coming from is one thing, letting people get away with it is still not okay.
@azae00Vids
2 жыл бұрын
@@caitlinsomers3600 Your retort is plagued with contradictory remarks based on personal emotions rather than the outward approach required to address the subjects actions. Saying it's annoying is irrelevant if you want to "understanding where certain behavior is coming from", also the subject in this case isn't hurting anyone, so we can toss that line in the bin (moreover the subject in the long one is only hurting themselves without their own knowledge). The statement "letting people get away with it" openly confirms that clarity is needed for those that act in this manner, from a psychology standpoint it disrupts your entire argument, it puts be blame back on the subject when it should be on the witness to support or ignore. To blame the subject in these cases will only further enhance the subjects actions rather that provide the mental stability the subject requires to restore the positive foundation of their character.
@buukss
2 жыл бұрын
@@azae00Vids Thing is, there is a cause, and then an action, and then an effect. Sometimes, the cause helps you understand the action, but it doesn't justify the effect, just like @Caitlin Somers said. It's not a blame game. it's not just third party acceptance or rejection of actions, because the perpetrator of the action may not even know his action is having an effect until you let him know. And, it wasn't just Simon. All the other judges went white at his comment, as the crowd also made an acknowledging sound. His actions, although understandable, could have had a better effect. That's all. The verbosity though! You probably talk a lot in real life, no offense😂🤲🏽.

I definitely understand how he came across the wrong way to them. I wouldn't have liked him either but watching this now, it doesn't seem like he was that bad, but I don't think the judges overreacted.

Attitude is very important in life.
He is not rude at all, he is pure on his nature
Curtis-“Just let me sing now” 😂😂😂😂😂
The way he went 😳 reminded me of Rachel 😂😂
It's moments like these that tell me how insightful and generous Simon Cowell is. He could've ripped into that guy but was able to compartmentalize his thoughts and did something for this kid in a manner he was most likely respond to. The kid had an attitude, but that's probably what keeps him driven. Sort of like Kanye West. He just needs to direct that energy in a more positive way.
He’s actually one of the few contestants with attitude that I feel like was really just suffering from nerves. I mean I can’t know what was going through his head, but he really does seem like a nervous kid who kinda lost control of his tongue for a minute. I know I’ve been there (not on a reality show, but I’ve put my foot in my mouth before).
