Great video Dave! Another thing to add to the topic is that keeping momentum becomes even more important in low power / heavier cars, because it takes longer to regain the speed that was lost.

You may find a bit of help with some basic mindfulness and meditation techniques. It doesn't have to be super serious, I have wicked ADHD and something like just bringing my mind back to my body to focus on my breathing first always, fast or slow, then what I am feeling, seeing & hearing, it clears my busy mind. It does it well, in addition to calming me and it's not something I do very much outside of racing. But the brain can be trained just like any other part of your body so while maybe it's not for everyone, I wish you a good win man!

Track limits are the biggest thing so many drivers dont make full use of. I help run a decent sized rookie league here in Australia and it's the biggest tip I can give to finding extra speed and time. Find exactly where the track limit warning are and drive to them, dont just focus on the white lines because more often than not there's an extra 1-3 metres on offer inside and outside and that's huge in terms of carrying additional speed. Misano and Spa in ACC are two of the biggest ones for free laptime just using the entire track until the game says no.

Spot on Dave. And of course it's also worth remembering that you will lose momentum if you have to defend the inside line on corner entry. Sometimes it's better to let the other guy dive down the inside and compromise his entry and lose momentum then pass him again on the exit.

Any tips on how to developing feel for how to stop braking to make sure that car wasn't overslowed for the corner. As in how to judge how much speed to take into corner, so amount of braking is not higher than required. I guess it ties in momentum with understeer and using whole track. Though not slowing more than we need to for the corner is more indicative of preserving the momentum in my opinion.
