About the concert
For several years now, Gustavo Dudamel and the young musicians from the Venezuelan youth
orchestra "Simón Bolívar" have been causing a furor on the international music scene. More than
anything else, it is they who have earned the Venezuelan orchestra system respect around the
world: 30 years ago, the conductor, composer and economist José Antonio Abreu had the vision
of combining social work and classical music. Abreu's goal was to tear down elitist structures in
music education and make music a fundamental right of all the country's children.

Excelente! If this is a film score, I can imagine the Mayans are celebrating, parading, and dancing under the full moon! I enjoy seeing many talented young musicians with happy faces.

Justo escuchó lo mismo (tropical) esta obra debe remontarte a épocas prehispánicas pero los arreglos que hace no me convencen, lo mismo hace con el huapango de Moncayo. Supongo que le gusta darle su “toque”.
No creo que Revueltas haya escrito esos gritos; Dudamel es puro show (busyness).
En Venezuela no hay buenos temas? Por qué Gustavo y su sinfonía siempre usan temas mexicanos ?

Claro que tiene temas venezonalos y muy Buenos, solo que dudamel utiliza los movimientos más conocidos
