  Claudio Abbado was an outstanding, glorious, great, fabulous conductor. Besides he was a tremendously modest, honest and profound man. If we compare him to other pompous and overrated conductors, such as Karajan, Böhm (both miserable Nazis, in spite o being idolized), Toscanini, Bernstein, Mehta, Dorati and many, many more, Abbado continues surprising us for his sheer command of many kinds of music in many languages. His interpretation of this symphony is by far the best ever carried out. More than ten years after his death, he goes on being one of the very best conductors in XX century. Thanks for this marvelous video.
