Silverado Aux Switches

This is a quick video on where to connect to the factory aux switches on the silverado work truck model. This particular truck is a 2017 Silverado 2500, according to the gm upfitter website it is the same for the 2015 - 2018 1500/2500/3500 models. Just to clarify, these switches provide ignition power or constant 12v depending on how you configure the fuses. Check the link to see a clearer understanding. Thanks for watching.

However, I have to say Ford is so much easier to hook these things up on. Ram and GM really make you work for if but Ford says hey look it's all right here!

Is it not gonna work or is there’s some fuses I can look for or how do I even see if it’s set up for it !

Sounds like you wired it to a constant 12v pin, use a multimeter to find the correct pin that turns on and off with the switch. And I would recommend not to wire the ground to the battery, clean bare chassis ground is always best.

They should be in the fuse box itself, if I remember correctly they looked like relays and you would have to swap them around to get always on or ignition power. I would think if you have the switches, you should have the same fuses there.

Those pins provide switched and constant 12v for any accessories, you should have no problems as long as the accessories are installed correctly. I do have them wired on a relay, using the switches as a remote to turn on power to the light bars. I went this route because I did not want any draw on the battery with the truck turned off.
