Silk/Satin for the win all day everyday. The velvet durags look cool but as far as wearing them for the purpose of waves or protecting natural hairstyles, they not gon be the best. Silk/Satin durags got a nice shine to em too. Finna cop me 3 new ones since I cut off my 20 months if hair 2 days ago and just came back on the wave journey for the 4 time.

Velvet Durags are good for helping a wavers hair dry after doing either the Shower Brush/Wash n Style methods. Since the velvet fabric would absorb all the water from the wavers head. While Silky Durags would only stay wet for a long time. So when I wavers finish Wash n style, the wave should put on either a silky durag or wave cap, to rinse their waves. And then were a velvet durag on top to help their waves dry faster. While for shower brushing a wave should put on a silky durag/wave cap, and put a velvet durag on top to help their waves dry faster.

@@wavemanj14 I normaly wear a silky after shower brush/wash n style, and a velvet over the silky. However, my hair drys faster with a velvet over the silky durag, than only wearing the silky durag.

@@isaacogunmuko3947 never shower brush. yes, your hair may dry faster using a velvet but so does a blow dryer. faster doesn't mean better. heat damage is bad and all the problems that come with velvet durags arent worth it. also your hair drying is heavily dependant on how long your wolfing anyways.
