how does the weight of the bolt affect the calculation? I have an ATN X-sight and my understanding is that it calculates the trajectory of the projectile after the weight, FPS, ballistic coefficient and drag coefficient of the particular projectile are entered. It works well on my x-bow but I have been considering an HHA because the weight of the ATN is ridiculous when added to the weight of a crossbow.

Sorry for the late response, I have been very busy. What you are talking about is why I prefer this setup. The key is to make your own tape how I explain it in the video. That way there is no worries of the calculations. It is custom to every setup therefore perfect every time regardless of the variables.

The dial on the HHA does not interfere with the travel of the bow cocking crank?

You can unscrew that and move it to the other side. You can see mine in the videos. I placed mine on the left side of the bow.

So how do u crank it back because the crank hits the dial??? Do u just switch to the left side???

I unscrew the orange knob/post and move it to the left side.

Why sight in at 30 yards instead of 20 yards?

There is 2 points when the flight of the arrow crosses the line of sight center point (cross hairs). The faster your trajectory (arrow) the further out your first zero hits. There is more to this and it’s hard to explain without pictures. But hopefully this helps. Please let me know if I need to explain further. It has to do with the speed of your bow.. short answer.

Why couldn’t you put a blank tape on and mark it as you sight it in ?

You can. It is difficult to write on the curved surface with it so close to the scope. Just a preference.
