Awww. Sig raises his voice slightly to Mandy. He only brought out every single one of Edgar's Demons on television.

I remember earlier seasons, when Sig would just dangle that carrot (to captain the Northwestern aka NW) in front of Jake's face. So Jake did all he needed to get certifiedand, trained, and licensed, so he could captain the NW. Sig told Jake he needed to earn it, that they weren't just gonna give it to him. Then Sig said it wasn't gonna happen. Jake then got the opportunity to captain another boat. But got lied to by that captain to take over his boat. So Jake feeling depressed and defeated goes back to NW. Where they still treated him like shit aka green horn. Then Sig starts training Mandy to captain and take over the NW. In front of Jake's face. Where she didn't earn it. But it wasn't her fault. Her dad Sig, is a Dick. Then the opportunity came up to take over Elliott's boat, the Saga. And Jake jumped at that chance. Sig then has the audacity to say Jake betrayed him, and left them hanging. Like I said Sig, what a Dick/Asshole. From this clip, at least Mandy sees the big picture and future. Realizing if she's honest and helpful, everyone will have her back and help her out. And Sig is to ignorant to see this. Sorry for the long comment, but I hate it when someone who has showed loyalty, and hard work, and makes many sacrifices, gets lied to and screwed over. Team Jake all the way. Fuck Sig, that piece of shit. Still he's in the mindset 'it's me vs. Everyone.' Hopefully he retires soon.

I disagree. Jake is doing plenty well for himself, and Sig is Sig, he's an old timer. The old timers didn't get to where they are by pitying everyone and being nice, they got to where they are by being aggressive and learning the way, and earning it. Jake complained a lot with Sig, he didn't 'earn' anything, and was not entitled to anything, nor was Sig supposed to give him anything.

No he was trying to share information all right but just enough to wear everybody can start moving in after hes basically gotten enough fill up his boat and go back to port, potentially cleaning out the area. In the end yes everybody does need to help everybody when an entire fleet is basically in jeopardy of being shut down. But when you're worried about feeding your family if decisions can be made otherwise. Or at least in Sig's case and I don't know if this has happened yet but to pay for Mandy's marriage To one of his deckhands

Hiding something from someone doesn't make it right or wrong in the grand scope of things, only to the person you are hiding it from. From Sig's perspective, it might be wrong, but Sig is only one person and isn't the god of fishing or moral ethics. Hindsight is 20/20. Mandy did the right thing because she helped Jake when he needed to find the crab. Then when the NW couldn't find the crab, Jake returned the favor. The decision to give Jake information (with or without Sig's permission) benefited both boats immensely. As to your argument that Sig was excluded, Mandy told him the truth when he came back anyways. Next time you want to argue something, stay on topic and answer the core issue, not some random aside that has nothing to do with what is or isn't wrong.

Jake is family,hes one of the few that will come threw when you need help.

The Alaskan Crab is a multi-BILLION dollar business and there are ENTIRE regions whose whole economy is based on it, and would collapse if it shuts down for a decade.

they guys have to alot of drugs to stay up. pretty sure all fishermen are on opiated doing that kind of work. cant blame them its hard work.
