I think everyone’s responsible. Like how can they set off the traps without checking on the greenhorns. Then they didn’t do a good job getting them all out. Clearly he needs to have a productive conversation. Because the greenhorns prob don’t understand how much of a waste of time it is to set off traps with dead crab are. This seems to be more of a deckboss problem. It also doesn’t help that jake isn’t putting any blame on him or taking ownership of the crew being lazy.

It's not so much of the crabs preference as it is the toxin will kill the other crab for coming anywhere near them. Crab are scavengers but if you notice, they never scavenge their own!
