Siebel Si 204D 1/48 Special Hobby

Today I chose the Seibel Si 204 kit for you for several reasons. Si 204 was during WWII produced in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (former Czechoslovakia) in the plants Aero Vodochody and ČKD Prague. Production continued in Aero Vodochody even after the war and the aircraft received a new designation Aero C-3. Another reason is rather nostalgic. Aero C-3 in 1/72 scale from kit Kovozávody Prostějov was one of the first models I built. The Siebel Si 204D kit in 1/48 scale from the Special Hobby company is very detailed and together with the accessories of the Eduard companies and HGW wood decals, we can build a nice and large model. From the offered camouflage marking in the kit, I chose the Si 204D in the form of service in the ranks of the German Luftwaffe. Model by Josef Choreň.

One of the best examples I have seen in a long time. Well done. Wish I had the patience to make something like that.

Nádherně postavený Siebel a perfektně udělané video. I u mě byl tento letoun mezi prvními modely, které jsem jako kluk postavil (KP). Dokonce si chci tento starý model znovu postavit. Zdravím Aleš 😉👍

I have that very 1/72 kit, your video will be helpful when I finally get around to building it, I just hope I can give it the same justice as you did this one.

great job. looks so beautiful. special hobby made some very attractive kits and worth to buy if skills are as good as yours. i am so surprised that the main fitting looks so perfect. what did you do to make wings and main body fits so well? and the clear parts fit so great too.

Thanks for the feeback. The main parts had to be thoroughly fitted and then glued. It takes a lot of testing before gluing.

Do you always paint a cockpit once completed? I cant imagine that's the easiest or neatest way to access many areas, even though yours looked amazing once done.

Usually I try to assemble as many parts as possible before painting. However, some are suitable for painting separately.

Hello Josef! This is a glorious model :) I have just purchased the NC.701 Martinent boxing, and I would be interesting in knowing which are the difficulties that you mention in the video (besides the transparencies). Could you tell us more about them? Thank you!

@Details Scale Models Quite interesting. Old photos of Axis WWII ground operations show many types of planes never seen in the modeller's world. Again, thanks.
