F4U-1 Corsair 1/32 Tamiya

F4U-1 Corsair 1/32 Tamiya.
In the last videos I was building detailed models with using a lot of comercial manufactured accessories or creating some adjustments by myself. But there are some kits that doesnt need any upgrades. One of these model is kit of plane Chance Vought F4U-1 Corsair in 1/32 scale by Tamiya. Models in 1/32 scale by Tamiya i consider as best models in the world. These are models with beutiful details, perfect surface and especiallly precision parts and simple construction.
During building the plane I filled in some small details on the engine and in the wheel bays. It is possible to build model with opened engine Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp. However, I spent most of my time spraying camouflage and above all, showing the operational wear of the aircraft. I used a lot of patination procedures with a spray gun, but also with brush or tapping with foam. For coloring I used colors GSI series C and for patina I used oil colors, colors Vallejo and pigments.
Model was build by Josef Choreň

From all the artistic shading, painted-on detailing, and use of oils, it looked as if you applied figure painting skills! The results are _very_ impressive and realistic. 👍

Lovely work. A lot of models look great from a normal viewing distance and then start to look less realistic as you get closer. Your model looks more and more realistic the closer you get into the detail. I can see the hours you put into each piece and it really makes the model seem more real and each piece stands on its own merit. The model somehow feels "solid", like its actually metal and not just plastic. Fantastic stuff. You have a new fan. :) Dan

Great job...realistic & a true working Corsair navy fighter! I built the Tamiya 1/32 scale F4U Corsair with it's million parts that allows for different configurations! Not a cheap model by any means & quite complicated! Unlike you, I gave my Corsair a pristine paint job just off the assembly line. She hasn't been battle hardened as yet...lol!
