Sidewinder RAttlesnake Knob Cane #48 With a Mouse
CARVED SIDEWINDER RATTLESNAKE KNOB CANE
In this video I show the process of making a sidewinder knob cane. This project has three subjects, a mouse, a moth and a sidewinder rattlesnake. It was carved entirely from one piece of Juniper wood.
I also take you on a little hike with me and show the damage caused by wildfires in my area and find a new stick to carve.

This guy is awesome, my dad has been carving nearly all his life, does snake canes from various woods, hard woods, cedar, he goes out, finds what he wants. My dad is old fashion, has a box full of chisels, pocket knives, sand paper. his signature is to use old antique saddle horns, and in some cases he likes the old antique glass door knobs, my dad is now 72, still carving away. He does ships, big ships, canes, cars, animals, he loves finding a good branch, and carving many various animals in them, all one piece of wood. always.

You go out and do this amazing stuff, and here I am trying so hard to carve a tiger's head on the head of a walking cane. Gahhhhh. First foray into significant wood carving.
I dont know how many of your videos I just watch but I am blown away at the craftsmanship, patience and passion that goes into your work. I literally just very recently bought my first set of wood working tools. It is a skill that I want to develop. What you do is amazing and inspiring. hats off to you

Michelangelo said," In every block of marble I see a statue as plain as though it stood before me, shaped and perfect in attitude and action. I have only to hew away the rough walls that imprison the lovely apparition to reveal it to the other eyes as I see it." Wood carving is just the same way as sculpting, you can see the image there. And your work is beautiful! I need to go carve something right now!

Prajeeth K just shine on the haters. I have wondered about that myself. You see video for instance, of a poor ill, homeless animal that get rescued and finds a loving home, and look and.... UNBELIEVABLY dislikes! Screw them. I am pretty sure they are sad miserably people that are just trying to get attention because nobody wants to be around their miserable asses. Honestly why would we even care what these individuals think. Best revenge is to ignore them. This is positively incredibly talented art form. This man is blessed and has a deep appreciation for nature, it provides him such a palate.
