This fall, the season of bounty has started with the harvest of sun-dried salt, pistachios, balsamic grapes, and now olives!
Today, we would like to share with you our first visit to Trapani, Sicily, where we saw the traditional salt making process.
We visited Massimo, a salt artisan known as Salinaio, to see the harvest of our new product, natural salt.
It was still 38 degrees, the sun was strong, we were exposed to the sirocco coming from Africa, and I was a little more than a little dizzy.
Despite the hard work, Massimo loves making salt.
His love for sun-dried salt made us happy as well.

Later, we visited the old town of Trapani facing the sea.
People are still swimming on the beach.
The center of the city was filled with the beauty typical of Sicily with a sense of history.
