I wanted to go to the movies tonight (various factors prevented it) as a tribute to my late Grandmother -- she passed earlier this year and today's her birthday. she and I both had a thing for cinema, great story telling & not taking it all so serious. she was truly salt of the earth. she adored my dog, made a point to check on her great-grand-pup every single time we talked. as a 32 year old 00's dork, the original movie represents nostalgia in so many beautiful ways. and tonight this incredible retelling that randomly appeared in my algorithm has touched my heart, i can't even describe it. particularly this scene idk why but it just flooded me with good feelings. thanks to all who were involved. thanks for making art and curating all of this. my hats off to you ❤

Theatrical Showing was awesome as hell!

I just watched this on split-screen! Upper screen: Original Shrek Lower screen: Reanimated Shrek AMAZING EXPERIENCE I GOTTA SAY! And obviously i chose the remade audio by all of you, because why not? PERFECT! HUGE CONGRATS you just made my childhood movie so much funnier and weirder and confusing. LOVE IT!🥳

Some of the episodes are psychedelic but other ones are true masterpieces! These are my favourite episodes: 14:31 - cool comics style 23:48 - cool anime action! 26:19 - supercool and warm style 40:24 - really like this wordless phrases! 1:00:51 - cool actor play 1:08:28 - like how Donkey runs backwards 1:20:30 - smile of the girl is so close to Fiona's one

@@nerevaldotheminotaurskelet4192 Seriously? It has nothing to do with the movie?! Its literally a feature length remake by 200 people who all love this movie and show their interpretation of it. This isnt meant to be an actual movie, but a creative piece of art.

I love how this seamlessly transitions between psychedelic trip-out to an actual coherent story with (occasionally) stunning visuals, to a strange students film live action thing, -in the blink of an eye. This is fantastic. This is what true modern art looks like, and I'll be damn disappointed if I don't find this in some museum one day.

As long as we all have access, that's better than a museum. I had never thought about it before your comment, but that's one of the amazing things about literature and film. Yeah, the museum can have the manuscript, but we all can own it.

Best Anime Ever! I want to see the sequels and spinoffs retold.

I feel like this is a culmination of 30 years of internet culture, it's all coming to a head. You have people from 4chan, independent animators, kids having fun in the backyard. The fact that you got 200 people to participate and add something to this shows the power of a shared experience online. Like an onion, the humor in this is covered in so many layers of sarcasm it's hard to find the epicenter of it. True beauty.
