Shredding the City! - Inline Skating City Flow Skate

A gorgeous morning for city skating the streets of Philadelphia. Before I'd ever inline free skated in the city I didn't know what to expect, but I've been pleasantly surprised with how skate-able it is. I was in a part of town I hadn't skated before and was enjoying all of its little nuances. As usual, I was trying to maintain the speed and keep the energy level high while zipping around like nothing was in my way.
Go shred your city!

    I always appreciate the kind words. Truly. Keeps me wanting to continue doing this stuff! I started this channel because I thought it would be a nice "digital diary" of me fumbling around on my skates and exploring this stuff. Basically something my mom could watch, lol (she does watch every upload, thanks mom

    These are the FR brand's "FR1 Deluxe Intuition" skates. The frames are after-market "Endless 100" and the wheels are "Undercover Team Blank (100mm/86a)"

    @@rerollinginline It seems you have some sort of straps on those FR1 Deluxe, what are these and what for? I'm having a slight bit of heel lift in mine and I'm looking for every possible solution.

  • @rerollinginline

    @rerollinginline

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@TheSpeedySparrow These are just velcro straps from the Seba CJ Wellsmore skate. The FR FRX and Seba SX skate have the basically the same strap. Search "seba power strap" if you're looking for them. Not sure if you're in the US, but I bought my from SG Sports online. The ratchet strap that came on my skates was making an absolutely maddening rattling noise as I skated and this solved that problem. However, at the same time I was also dealing with just a little bit too much room in my skates and 2 things made a big difference for me: I got SuperFeet carbon insoles that I put under my liner and I started lacing the skates all the way up to the top of the liner. I used to think that the 2 straps were enough, but I think the opposite now. Get a nice set of waxed laces and lace them all the way up. I get such a good heel lock from the laces that the 45 degree strap hardly feels necessary now. Best of luck, as getting a perfect fit seems to be the hardest part of skating!

    @@Char1ieskate I've thought about it. I do have a good microphone. I've only spoken on a couple of videos that weren't flow-style skates but some light narration has crossed my mind on these otherwise "music videos". I just really like the music and the vibe/energy it gives without me getting in the way. Thanks a lot for watching and commenting!
