Kind of a lame song now though. Didn't age well. When he closed with more iconic and inspiring artists, it was more proper. The whole soundtrack is iconic and then this average pop song meh. I enjoyed it back then too, but like I say it didn't age well.

His brain was right here on earth.. there’s nothing new under the sun... people think he was making something never seen before .. when he was pulling inspiration from the ancient Egyptian culture... and the occult under ground society which he sold his soul to.. they planned out his entire career based on doing a series of collections that created timeline of the history of the occult traveling onto different lands and setting up camp... the beginning was Atlantis (which is truly Egypt) and then spreading all the way out around the world and ending with there final stop... The USA (the promise land) so basically him doing this collection was the end of his contract with “them” and in exchange for him bringing there hidden world into the mainstream... they will immortalize his name as an icon...

I have been an avid follower of fashion industry for like 15 years now and I have never seen a more attentive awe induced audience ever. No one on their phone or jotting notes barely flashing cameras. It was like they were apart of something truly otherworldly. He knew too much.
The highest point fashion as ever reached was this fashion show, and nothing is probably ever going to be able to top this.
Part of what makes watching this show so magical is seeing the live audience totally transfixed, transported, captivated. They knew that they were in the presence of something truly extraordinary.
This gave me all kinds of goosebumps and lots of tears in my eyes, this is magical, his design and artistic power was simply magical, beyond this world, maybe too much for this world but I am grateful that us, simple humans, were able to live in a world where Alexander McQueen existed and gave us this level of beauty.

For me at least Plato’s Atlantis seems like a perfect full circle moment. From the moment I saw my first McQueen show, I fell madly in love with his fashion aesthetic, dark yet beautiful themes with EXCEPTIONAL tailoring.. From Jack the Ripper Stalks his Victims ( Master of Fashion degree fashion show, 1992 ) to Plato’s Atlantis. He took what he loved and experienced in his life and made impeccable, couture like ready to wear that will forever stand the test of time. Rest in peace Lee. The world misses your hauntingly beautiful style. 💔 (If you haven’t seen it or seen it already, go watch McQueen (2018), it’s an EXCELLENT documentary about Lee, you’ll thank me later)
