It's great that you've got a few new videos in reserve from earlier in the year - brightens the day up! It's been miserably wet weather where I am over the festive period, which kills off any outdoor activity 🙁

Love this channel Andrew which is why I've decided to continue my Patreon Support albeit a meagre amount for the next year at the very least. Anyway what I want to say is how much I love a new Bike. They look fantastic, I love technical trails, I live on the borders of west & North Yorkshire, we have a lot of tech tracks, I've not ridden in the Aviemore & ballater area ! are there great trails over and in around Braemar? such a beautiful area !!! Love your content great as usual !!

Brilliant, love watching your videos. The camera is so smooth and great quality 👌. I don't to cause any hassle, as I'm sure the editing takes long enough..... But any chance of displaying a quick map of the area, routes that you're doing on each video? 🙏 Especially Aviemore there's no signage or online maps etc. Heard you talking about Trailforks or is there a better app? Guessing you've got a collection of videos as I was cycling in the snow only a few weeks ago, freezing 🤣

Thanks for the kind words Scott. I’m not keen on overlaying maps on the screen personally. However, you can find the Strava links in the description that you can get a gpx file from. Failing that, Trailforks is a fantastic way to find and navigate trails.

Just in theory a map of Scotland zooming into the area or fixed, highlighting an OS map route 🤔 don't worry about it, probably be a bit tacky looking 😂. You're train set 👍🚂...... I'll stop being lazy, do some research and get adventuring (I just hate stopping and getting the phone out unless it's for pictures 😊)

Bah, only just got back from staying in Rothiemurchus over Christmas, I did Lairig Ghru again and wanted to go over to High Burnside, this would’ve come in very handy. It’ll have to wait until April I guess. Do you know of anything over towards Feshiebridge?

Can’t go too far wrong with what you did anyway. There are some fairly good and natural trails over at Feshiebridge. They are all on Trailforks👍

Its a pretty tricky place to ride, im only about 45mins away and its a lot more gravity kinda riding in my area so riding high burnside is a totally different experience

It’s definitely a fairly unique place to ride, kind of requires different focus and different technique, as carrying momentum is quite important. Gravity definitely makes things a bit easier up to a certain point.

Great riding, I am deciding between this bike and Transition Spire. Do you feel that this bikes rear wheel loses a bit too much traction due to firming up when you are doing sustain breaking ? Are there any specific negatives i need to be aware for this bike ?

The brake jack is more present in this design than some others, but I’ve never felt like I’ve lost traction because of it. For me, I honestly forget that is a high pivot when I’m riding it. It just feels like a really good , capable bike. To be fair though, the Spire is meant to be a very good bike and I don’t think you’d go far wrong if you choose one. The Deviate is a bike I’d take more pride in owning, and it’s design and ride characteristics I believe are more note worthy.
