Welcome to my channel. My goal is to travel to as many of Scotlands amazing biking destinations as I can and bring you the clearest, smoothest footage possible, to try and help you decide if its somewhere that you would like to visit yourself.
Firstly I aim to get at least one video a week put up and secondly to build enough of a video library for my channel to be a one stop channel for anyone seeking to find new biking destinations in Scotland.
I have made my decision to grow the channel and it has my full commitment so the videos will come. I would be very grateful to anyone who subscribes as this will help spur me on.
The best thing about KZread is it is interactive so feel free to comment with your thoughts or even suggest a destination i should go to.
Thanks for visiting my channel.

well you never know who you'll bump into on a bike ride around Balmoral.
When is it not raining in the UK it's always raining in the UK always raining that's all it does that's why I could never live in the UK but a good portion of my family still live in the UK I just couldn't help all that rain very depressing it's like living in Washington here in the United States always raining very depressing
Hi, what handlebars are you using?
Lake district would be great if it wasn't for the huge numbers of tourists.
Absolutely love this video and your skills 👍👍👍. Funny drive past here on Monday and thought of you. I definitely need to ride this
Not King Charlie's
Thanks for sharing your experience, I am smiling while watching your interaction with The King, He is such a kind and lovely King. Greetings from the 🇵🇭.
I did this ride a short while ago & snapped my rear mech juts before the bothy. Long push back up, which was a real pain. I'll have to go back some day to compete it.
❤❤❤
very cool
That is awesome!!!
The Communist King
A “wee taster?” Sounds like a fetish.
That was one awesome ride I wish I was younger.
American friend here. That was amazing! Wow really just loved seeing that.
Surpassed yourself yet again, awesome bit of filming keep up the good work👍
Imagine being on a bike ride and... oh, hello Your Majesty! How's the weather? Truly epic.
wtf the king is just walking round hahahaha i love him even more!!!!!! theres stories from ppl who met the queen this way too
Omg. I could see myself go flying off
Foggy out there. Good thing you didn't run him over
That’s INCREDIBLE! ❤
don’t fall off
Great ride, beautiful location!! That decent looks exhausting
I miss this country so much 😭
So, where is is He then? Watching 13 minutes of mountain biking in order to see HM?
Great video as always and your endo skills are strong! I'm planning on doing this over the weekend if the weather plays ball, is it best done as an out and back or skirting round the bottom of Beinn Ghlas, from watching your vids you've done both? TIA
Brilliant another big mountain day ❤️🏴 some speed at the bottom like😬
Looks fun but is this a good idea? These upland environments seem pretty fragile.
Great riding, great dronage.
Agreed same in N England. Usually at the solstice I have memories of many great summer rides and camping out in warm weather. Have none! One silver lining is I hope the usual winter lows/blues will not be so bad! I may enjoy winter more. Will see!
Thank you for interacting with the King as a normal, everyday person. I'll bet he appreciated it a lot!
How can this be real? The head of State so unprotected!?! Is that why we say God Bless America? Cause we (I) can't imagine a world where this happens? 😂 I also live in California's most murderous city. So... There's that
Enjoyed watching that, although I did feel a bit “twitchy bum” watching the steep rough top sections, didn’t want you going OTB. Well ridden 👍
Awesome video Andrew. Probably my favorite one yet! Going full time has certainly made a massive impact on your riding! Great to see you getting more and more comfortable with the super techy stuff. Also Kudo's for the responsible drone use up top, most people wouldn't have cared and stuck it in the air anyway 👍
Thanks for the video, after having my mountain bike stolen I gave up for a few years. Just bought myself a new mountain bike and have been enjoying myself in the woods, and headed up to Carron Valley Reservoir, which was pretty but a bit boring! Will have to find some more technical routes like these.
You insured this one ?
I’ve been living in England for the past 7 years There literally no mountains within 100 mile of me I grew up in Stirling surrounded by hills Man a miss Scotland ✌️
Another film of your adventures filmed superbly, putting your skill levels on show and the beauty of Scotland's wilderness and high peaks. Unfortunately I have to disagree with you re the ghosts having encountered one on a riverbank near Peterhead. In the early hours of a morning sea trout fishing, whereby to try and discount my eyes deceiving me and that of my fellow fisherman I poked my 10ft rod towards the apparition and it passed right through. We beat a hasty retreat and I never returned to that pool and found out later that was the reason why the old timers stayed clear also. Around that period I had another encounter with a ghost but it was my granny coming back to check on her young great grandson who woke up and started chatting to what he described as the lady in the corner who had met him once when he was 2 weeks old but he described exactly the type of clothes she used to wear i.e. a housecoat. That did not spook me at all but gave me great comfort unlike the encounter on the river. Enjoy the bothy I am sure it will be fine just don't go on your own.
I planted the pretty girl. You’re welcome.
Great video again, been following a while. What skills, it looks steep on GoPro so must be very! Love the scenery and peak spotting shots too. Can't wait to get back ro Scotland this summer (dont mention the midges!) but i think ill be hiking this one before biking it, many years skills progression for me, if i ever get that good I'd be super satisfied! But its inspiring seeing your rides and progress.
I was there when you had summer!!🤣😂 Beginning on may BH weekend!! 😜
Wow, I enjoyed that ride sitting on my arse in Dalkeith. Even with the camera flattening some of those turns look impossible. Good Work!
Did we see you two doing this on 2 June '23? I biked down mountains on 26" wheel full rigids then hardtails from 1988 to 2009 before going over to the road so have never ridden a bike with 29" wheels but even if I owned one, my gonads certainly aren't large enough to ride that kind of stuff. One question though: isn't it easier to get off the back and ride down the grass? Lawers and Glen Lyon is my favourite ride but strictly on my climbing tarmac bike.
Wowser 👏🏾
Wow. Bike skills are coming along nicely. Great ride.
That looks quite dangerous , I'm afraid I thought of Michael Schumacher.
That was a master class in riding mountains. Stunning views and beautifully filmed.
Just brilliant Andrew 🍻 loved watching that.
Good to see you bailing one over the handlebars. Makes you seem like one of us after all. Great vid again
what a island? England TOP
It's Scotland and not England.
The whole of that first top section just gives me the heeby jeebies. I mean, it's lovely that YOU like it, but me...??? 🤣🤣
