The ORC had been out of my arsenal this season. But in the past I’ve caught some of the biggest smallies of my fishing 45+ years. Im with Griff they are a topwater bait , hold your rod tip high and steady retrieve. Always enjoy Griffs input. Good video

The Jackall binksy was my first foray into bladed topwaters. I really like it, now discontinued. 😢

Those whiplash topwater baits def are unique u don't really see many topwater poppers with the resting position the spittin wire has. It almost sits completely vertical on the pauses allowing for better hookups with a two hook walking bait and just a different look than whats out there.

I usually fish it on 14-16lb flouro

I’m a pond guy and the micro dodge slay both bass and slab bluegill. Super durable, put a few dozen fish one one bait and it’s still working well.

My favorite under the radar topwater is the jackall chan wake, but I don't think they even make it anymore. Luckily I stocked up.

Lol past 3 years I fished all summer through the brutal heat. I ain't doing it this year lol. Except a early morning session every once in a while .

You need to do another showdown on fishing maybe just maybe Griff maybe maybe he might win

For your top waters like the orc and the slam dog, do you guys use braid to fluro or mono, or straight one of the 3? I tend to throw braid on top water but on things like the slam the braid catches.
