Show of the Weekend: Apple Arcade and WE TOOK SLOFIES!

Ойындар

It's Show of the Weekend! But a little bit different, as we attended the Apple Event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, where we heard about Apple Arcade and some other new things. Plus, we got some hands-on time with the new iPhone 11, and had a look through your comments!
Come see us at EGX! www.egx.net/egx/tickets

This week's Show of the Weekend isn't on a purple sofa, but a bench in Apple Park, as Ellen and Luke had a sneaky look at some of the new gadgets and games coming from Apple. Plus we read through your comments and have a disagreement over flapjacks...!

I didn't even think about this until now, but it's super cute. Anyway, the youngest of my many brothers used to have a 6-foot tall glow in the dark penguin with night vision goggle called Phrosty as his imaginary friend, who he was absolutely certain existed, and the only reason the rest of us never saw him was because he went to the moon every day using the cardboard box used for the hamsters cage delivery and only came back at night whilst everyone else was asleep. He actually made his Dad put out some of his clothes for Phrosty one night because he was sad that he didn't have any of his own. Anyway, I thought someone would find this cute.

I’m so happy that Simogo are finally getting some real press coverage. Their horror game, Year Walk, is an absolute master class in storytelling, visual design, and atmosphere. It’s one of my favorite games of all time and it’s such an underrated gem. Device 6 is a phenomenal puzzle game with an amazing aesthetic and great story. Sailors Dream is an extremely simple and yet beautiful game that tells a very compelling story and has some great music. Beat Sneak Bandit is a fun and quirky rhythm game that visually reminds me a lot of Night in The Woods. All of these games are really good and all of them deserve more recognition (but mostly Year Walk) so if you have an iPhone please for the love of god play more of their games. Year Walk is also available on Steam and WiiU.

My childhood imaginary friend was Orion (based on the constellation). I still, once in a while, look up at the sky at night and let him know I'm doing alright.

Now i'm sad because i don't remember any imaginary friends at all (did i mention already my memory is realy, realy bad? i don't remember). But as you two are the coolest "kids" i ever knew (not in person sadly) you would make perfect imaginary and non-imaginery friends at the same time (more time spend with Oxtra yey :P) And that's my entry into the comments edition :D Also a Biclop would be a cool (imaginery) friend to have, always watching your back, big and strong to protect you (and with his own lawn mower the size of a small house :P). If you don't know who Biclop is then just watch Mad Jack the Pirate (The Curse of the Blue Karbunkle episode) ... i may have already recommend that one to you on Twitter ... i think i did ...

Three or four year old me had my older cousin draw a character from Tiny Toons. I got mad, sad, and cried when they wouldn't hop off the paper to play with me. Imagination failed that day xD

Ellen’s explanation of crunchy flapjacks was darn helpful. I’ve had those Nature’s Valley bars plenty of times. They’re not quite as bad as Grape Nuts breakfast cereal, which I’m convinced is leftover gravel from construction sites, but yeah, they can be hard on the teeth.

I had a whole stable of imaginary horses when I was little. One of them was a unicorn pegasus named Rainbow Sprinkle. When my mom and I went to San Francisco I brought a couple of them along to ride

i like the Outside Broadcast Show of the Weekend. I'd love to see you guys just go to a local park and do it. Andy, Mike, and Jane can bring the snacks, James can get a little sun. Win-Win.

My imaginary friends were Mr. Nobody, who was sort of a green oval with arms and legs and wore a red hat. He sat in the centre seat when we went on car rides. There was also Mrs. Squeaky, who was a mouse dressed in a sort of victorian night gown and cap, and she lived in places that looked small because of perspective.

My imaginary friend was named Oliver (He went by Oli) and he looked exactly like one of the bomber kids in Majora's mask (Blue bandana for sure). I met him in Costa Rica in 7th grade on a service trip when I was homesick...
